smell your clothes after you take them off after a long hard day..... go ahead smell your jeans on the outside where your ass would be ..smell your arm putts in your shirts on the outside .....they stink!!!!! thats why we wash them ....and if you dont think that smell doesn't penetrate your seats like cloth YOUR ARE WRONG!!!!!

Why does just about every thread have to turn into a pissing contest?
Everyone has reasons for preferring one over the other. Some of these posts are just stupid.
Maybe you people that say cloth seats smell like ass should learn to wipe better after taking a crap.

That's why you don't drive naked.. You clothes absorb the smell and perspiration and not the seats. You don't sweat nearly as much when you have cloth seats too. I have owned both and still do and I will take the cloth any day.

I like my cloth seats too. I live in a place where it gets very hot and humid in the summer so being able to actually sit in my car in the summer without burning my legs is a plus

so under that theory then no car would ever smell......take the test go buy a hamburger from MacDonald s and put in the front seat still in the wrapper or leave it in the bag dosnt matter overnight and see how long the smell is in your car ..... the smell will penetrate those seats and cloth interior for a long time .......this debate over cloth that someone would tell me that cloth seats dont hold odor is like saying leather doesnt get hot in summer

The leather in my Firehawk had perforated leather inserts which I assume would absorb just as much stinky butt smell as cloth. Are the Camaro leather seats perforated?

You also have cloth headliner and carpets to absorb odor, so that test would be invalid.
Leather.... Hot in summer, Cold in winter slick as hell nothing will stay put in the back seat while you drive it slides everywhere. By the way they make fabric cleaners to clean cloth seats too. Cloth has many advantages.....sorry, the smell argument just DOSEN'T hold up.

I LOVE the smell of my leather! After 4 years of owning my 2SS I still look forward to opening the door and getting a nose full of leather smell! Intoxicating! I don't use any cleaning materials with a scent on my interior and it still smells like new!

I plan on doing a custom interior. It made no sense to pay for something that I was going to replace. I agree that cloth is harder to keep clean, however leather just isn't as soft and it makes my back sweat. Cloth breathes better and doesnt get hot in the sun.

And I'm just onld enough to remember when cloth seats were an upgrade. Vynle was the standard.

I went with the cloth because I have the convertible and didnt want to risk hot seats in the summer w/the top dropped... but i love the look of the leather... cars got killer looks w/either option, thats all that matters!
