Well, I installed this sensor in my new 2015 1LE, and now the DIC says "service stabillitrack" and it shows traction control, stabiltrack and such lit up on the dash like they are disabled..

Is there a fuse pull or something associated with this swap to make things function normally again? If not, the thought of taking that whole console apart again to swap back to the original sensor is not thrilling me at the moment..

I hated mine, but I found by not pushing the clutch all the way down won't activate it. Did this on many hills and will roll back. But push clutch all the way, it will hold. So if I ever need it, it's there, but most of the time I just clutch 3/4 the way down and been working fine.

Thanks, I'm Trying this.
I been pulling the E brake 1 click.
This seen like the best solutions. Is there a switch on the clutch pedal?
Maybe it could be removed.

Hill Assist in my 1LE is now a thing of the past......Probably one of the best changes I could've done to my SS....Next on the list is getting switchblade key back....I hate the separate fob and key

I made this my first mod and I'm a happy camper! I found it for $77 shipped on eBay.

Put me down as another 1LE no longer burdened by hill assist. SO MUCH BETTER!

Seriously, I no longer dread hills.

This is sad and i'll be damned if I pay $80 for a part for my brand new car to disable shitty engineering. This is a crock of shit.

Haha, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates this "feature". I've been driving standard since I started driving and I've never had an issue with starting on a hill... until my first experience with "hill start assist"! Roasted the hell out of the clutch and looked like an idiot lurching forward!

Between this and the skip shift eliminator, I'll be happy!

This what I am worried about. Did you get this resolved?

Look at the guy's username, should explain it right there!
But seriously, his is the only one that had a problem after this swap. Nothing to be worried about...

No, I did not get it sorted out. It threw error codes all over the place, I took the whole console apart a second time, put the original sensor back in, and everything went back to normal. So I just left it, and set the replacement sensor aside until I had time to do more research. I still hate that hill start garbage with a passion, but I haven't seen anyone else have the same issue, so I still don't know what was wrong with the swap. I've kinda dreaded taking it all apart a third time, so I just didn't mess with it. That, and the car was in the garage for the winter, so it really wasn't a concern while I was mostly driving my pickup around.

If anyone finds out if there is some difference in the 15's as opposed to the 13/14's, or has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear it. I've driven nothing but manuals for the past 19 years, so this "feature" is very irritating at times.

I doubt my screen name, or the fact that I seem to be the only one this didn't work for is cause enough to just dismiss a potential incompatibility with the 2015 models. If it is working for everyone else, great, I'm glad. Yet, I'd still appreciate any assistance troubleshooting the matter so -I- can get it to work as well.

Edit: The part number I received is GM#13504156 (at least as far as the box is concerned) could it maybe have been the wrong part in the right box or something like that? (That's the best guess I have at this time, as the sensor itself does not have that sequence of numbers on it, just two bar codes and some small print numbers that are a longer sequence.)
