Some people are worried that living in a state that requires 2 plates, they will get a ticket for not having one in front. What the cops really go after, are the plate frames that partially or fully cover up the name of the state or lettering on the bottom of the plate. Car dealers use their plate frames on cars that they sell, which does cover up most of the lettering, and you wind up with the ticket. Obviously the dealer should pay for that ticket, but that doesnt hold up in court as the old saying, ignorance of the driver or owner of that car is no excuse.

i got pulled over the other day, i was stupid - dont ask, but while i was pulled over he walked around and asked where my front plate was. i reached into the back seat and said, right here officer. the dealer never installed it beacuse there is no bracket mounted for it and they didnt want to drill holes into the bumper. he looked at me and said well you really are supposed to have one in the front. then he went to his car, wrote me a front plate ticket and not a ticket for the reason he pulled me over for. which i am completely happy with. an equipment infraction easily fixable vs a moving violation.... nice.

I just got my new plates and put them on...no pics yet..."BUHMBLBE" It was the only phoenetic thing that I could find in NY that was decent and not taken for my 2LT Transformers RS. I love it...my wife thinks I need to grow up...NEVER!!!
