why dont you look at other areas of the state or country for jobs that pay so you can move out. Maybe you have to move out to find a job. And like the guy said above if you got BA in liberal arts, GYM teaching, general BA degree, or have some non accredited or online degree then i can see your problem. If your 26 7-8 years to graduate or have you beeing sitting around for 3-4 years?

But for realy ive had friends Good friends that didnt do anything with their lives and made decisions like getting a new car with making pennies. And its sad but these friends just kind of fell away from the group. If your degree sucks spend the extra 25k on another degree if you have a BA to get another would not require anymore than 30-40 credits depending.

With a BA or BS degree you would join the military as an E-4. makes 1800 and some change a month plus subsistence which would put you over 2000 a month or 24k a year, plus you get room and board. Sounds like a good start to me. Do your time if you like the military and make it a career your degree would help you advance faster or you could move up into an officer slot(with your current attitude i dont know if I would want you to join the officer ranks). If you dont like it get out you have the experience of a good field that you can choose when you join the military.

Easy way to almost triple what you make now, only requires a signature. Now counting the health coverage you will get, which you probably dont have any now, hope you dont get sick that could cost you

And BS degree = $10/hour a job these days.

If you dont use the degree and work in Retail you are correct. If you spend the time looking for a job even an Admin position that requires a degree the starting pay is at least $15 minimum. At retail you wont find anything higher than 10-11 dollars unless you are a supervisor/manager. Judging by your part time status you arent either of them.

Get off your arse and do something instead of crying "poor me".

The Military is a good choice. It also gives you a chance to learn some real responsibility. And can't you earn credit/money for a college education?

This could be a good choice.

Now, we're getting somewhere. There's a lot of good people here trying to give you some good advice, which you asked for by opening this thread.

Military is a good idea. I wish I had went in and made a career out of it, I would already be retired.

BS degrees definitely pay more than this. I don't know where you get your information with the 115 hour work weeks and $10/hour jobs. I was making close to $10 an hour in College, not once I got out. I've been out a year and make WELL over $10/hr. That's just ridiculous.

You sure are getting alot fo preaching here, but as stated you asked and from the sounds of your attitude toward it, you sort of deserve it.

I have no idea what the market for a college grad is like out there right now, but I do hear it is quite tough, so I empathize with you on that one. On the other hand, you make statements like 'I'm lazy', making it appear you're not working to make things better either.

You get alot of criticism about living at home too, as opposed to talking about buying a car (your original question). Sorry again, but you asked for it. You laid yourself out there on the internet and asked can I do with too little. Sorry you don't like what you're reading, but it's fact and although the retorts here are rough, they're very useful if you'd see past the rhetoric.

Seems alot here are annoyed because I would guess alot here have worked and waited long and hard to get their cars. No one likes the guy that takes the short road, but you must see how that'd piss alot off ? Your statements about life priorities and apprently your philosophy is hard to read at times like now. Our economy sucks - you're feeling that probably more than alot here, since you're out of school and trying to use the degree to get started, unsuccessfuly - but then there is the statement of being lazy and almost saying those here should accept that and stick to the topic - buying the car. That's unfair of you.

People on this board are not asses, just annxious and realistic. At your stage (income, age, wants) maybe you were expecting guys here that were talking level of used Hondas or crotch rockets. That's not this site. You must have read alot on this site. MANY are getting SS'. That's a min $35,000 + car, these are not low budget cars with easy street or low rank financials. This is not Mercedes website, but know your audience before you open such a door. Did you really expect guys to say, sure go ahead, economy sucks, working class is bailing out faltering individuals and banks, etc. but that's cool, everybody deserves to be happy. That simply is not reality. If everyone is to be happy, everyone has to do for the whole, not the individual. Sorry I rant - Nuff said.

Anyway, I wish you luck and as stated in my previous post, your best times are yet to come, don't be too anxious and shoot yourself in the foot.

But u wonder why people care so much whether someone can afford a car or not....Well, to answer you, I could care less. This is a public forum and you and your alter-ego came asking for opinion and people are giving them to you. But I guess it is a moot point trying to make you and futurebumblebee see things from a responsible perspective.
Enjoy you car and I hope you get that city job and I hope your mom gets repaid for her kindness when those 3 kids grow up and make her proud.

BTW..it was only a few weeks ago you asked whether you could afford one or not....and now you say your car is coming today or tomorrow? How did your order come through so fast? Faster than anyone's! Could you please post pictures of you in your new 2SS when it arrives? Would love to see it. Cheers!
i ordered my car march 7th...and that other thread i didnt start, i just came in and asked what peoples opinions were on me getting approved for a loan...then it just turned into me making a mistake, not having my priorities straight, not having a real job that i should go back to school, etc.....i just wanted to know what people thought about me getting approved for a loan, not whether or not i could afford the car because i know i can and i already commited to my decision...in this thread i saw where it was going way ahead of time from my experience in that other thread so i figured id stand up for the guy...if he wants it, then by all means he should get it! whos to tell you what you can and can not work for? if he gets it and his life goes to shit what the hell do i care? i dont know him from a hole in the wall...its logic, aslong as its nobody thats in my click...his life, his choice...

my car was ordered march 7th and went to 3000 5/27 with a 6/29 tpw...ive waited a while like alot of people on here and since january i been banking my money and paying off some debt i have...paid off 7k since january working 50 hours a week! that OT is time and a half so its like working an extra 2days...thats 7 days a week worth of pay...and you know why i did it? cuz i really want this car and i dont mind working for it...i got my priorities straight...just because my number 1 priority isnt to save for a house doesnt mean they arent straight...that may be some1 elses priority but not mine

im going to a concert tomorrow in conneticut and spending the night at the mohegan sun resort so if my car arrives ill have to wait till saturday to pick that bad boy up...and soon as i do ill be posting pics!!! imma name the thread... "THE NIGHTMARES OVER!!! A DREAM COME TRUE!!!" ...so if ya wanna see my purty ABM on Grey 2SS/RS with a sunroof, chrome fuel door and flat black gill vinyls (both of which i have already) come check it out! then lata on in the week more pics with my windows tinted and maybe my $450 led underbody/wheel well/interior kit installed...
