Ok I was just making sure because everyone always makes it out that pulling the fuse makes it sound like an entirely new car, but I just noticed a subtle difference like you said. I'm sure it'll be nice to have control once I get cats and headers.

Does the car have to have come delivered with npp for this to work? Or can I control an npp that has been put on the car afterwards?

My educated guess is that the wiring harness etc etc is all still there already so shouldn't matter.

If you're NPP that was put on the car afterwards uses the factory wiring, and opens and closes like it does from the factory (I.E. It is open at idle, then closes until you reach 3500rpms, then opens again) this method will work.

After installing this switch, where you able to open and close the valve right away? I installed my switch but while the car is on it does not close it just stays open the whole time. Also my switch was not labeled, do you know which way is open/closed/normal on the switch?

Which way did you install it, like the diagram I posted where you have to cut the wire going to fuse block?

Mine works perfectly, flip down it closes (I can even hear the actuator), middle is stock, up is open.

Which way up or down is just which way you wired it. But the middle prong will have to be the same regardless.

The red wire needs to be in the middle of the switch, the other 2 wires don't matter. The relay needs to be installed with the wire on top. You need to ground the black wire on the ground bolt next to the fuse box. I tested the switch in my car before I sent it to you, so unless it was damaged in shipping, it should work right out of the box. Give me a call and I'll help you out.

This method explained in this thread for installing a manual switch to have 3 way operation of the exhaust bypass valves involves splicing into wiring which could be a problem when you want to sell the car down the road.

If you want a true plug and play solution that provides 3 way operation using either a remote transmitter fob or a manual switch, I invite you to look at the Forza 3-Way Controller ...

Lots of reviews here ...

So you can pull a fuse to leave the NPP open all the time? Which one? Does it effect anything else?

Thanks

This is a really awesome mod, just did it last weekend.

I installed a small 3 way switch in my cupholder area, it's so awesome to be able to switch to 100% closed, 100% open, stock computer control. Thanks OP!

The switches were like $9 for a pack of 10, so I have tons of spares if this one breaks lol
