My instructor said he never recommends solo after the first time out on that track. I guess other instructors could be different. I got 3s and 4s on my sheet, hopefully out of 5.

Wish I could have seen that C7. I've only seen one drive by for a split second.

JP was my instructor and I had not heard of the scoring sheet either, but JP did let me go out solo a few times due to me having a recent past at the track with MTI and also due to my driving. Can we expect a score card for sign off to a solo certificate?

Again, Thanks Michael for a great job hosting this event.

I'm not 100% sure on the evaluation sheet, I can tell you from past experience that every instructor that I've had about 20 of them, they all instruct different, the only 2 company's that I've run with, that actually use evaluation sheets are Chin Motorsports, and NASA.
I will e-mail Jon from Seat-time and ask him if any of our group will be ok to run solo on the next event, I would say you are good for solo, considering you and 1 other stayed the entire day.
For the guys that this was there 1st track event and only did limited run sessions, i would say do 1 or 2 more events with a instructor, learn your car and learn the track, it ensures everyone's safety.
Hell I had a instructor ride with me on Sunday, just to show me different lines, also from past notes, it took me 3 weekends=6 days of driving Road Atlanta to get signed off solo with Chin Motorsports they are extremely strict on there requirements for solo.
With that being said for who ever reads this, don't rush the process of getting to solo, take your time, get plenty of seat time, it will make you a much better driver, learn your car, and respect any track you drive, don't think this happens over night. I've ran my camaro for about 2 1/2 years I've only had it on the track twice since I put all that HP in it, Daytona, and this past saturday, it's like starting all over again,
I was only running 1:23 1:24 lap times, I have been running my vette for around 2 years now, and I am still learning the car. I average around 1 track a month, sometimes for a 1 day event, sometimes a 2 day event.

seat time

Be safe but have fun
Michael

It was pretty cool to see the C7 and the C6 #00 go at it, I can tell you that Reese did not hold anything back, front tires had lots of feathering in them.
there might be some pics on MTI's facebook page
I am waiting for my friend to send me some pics, I was on track with the C7

This one is still processing, took awhile to render so give it a bit to show up then finally allow HD. I really like the shot though and I think you guys will as well. GPS error caused the timing to not register the first lap, I could have fixed it manually by editing the logs but I didn't really feel like it. Hope you guys enjoy.

I was finally able to upload a video after not being able to for days now. This one is a little long but it's a good one even if I forgot and left it in PTM2 Tour mode.

Nice. He passed everybody out there. His instruction sounds good too.

He was as cool as the other side of the pillow when it came to his driving skills and informative feedback. Plus, he and his fiancé were very nice and an especially down to earth couple that were also great to talk with.

The Next Seat Time Event is March 30, were we going to try and get a group rate again?
