if they go with a common cone/tube design then they might as well just quit now. unless it is as good as the best ones out there at half the cost it will not do well.

looking at the pics of the old style one, where does it actually get air from? doesn't seem like it would be a true "ram air" once the hood is closed.

The guy told me it has to do with retooling. Basically I am just tired of hearing the same song and dance. I bought this car in March of last year and have been asking them almost monthly to no more than every other month and always the same story. I have been waiting because others rave about how great their product is. Well it isn't that great when you can't produce it. And like you I also wonder if it's going to be worth the wait if they are going to basically the same design as others. Just need to research the others so I can get a good one and order it. They lost my business.

I was told the air intake is going to be right between the radiator and the lights on the drivers side. Which to my understanding is where the others get theirs from also. So my question to the forum is what is the best CAI you have had experience with? Want real world experience and not some company's technical data.

My CAI cold air is great. Others are big fans of the Rotofab. I would focus on those two.

An independent dyno test was done on a bunch of units by Jannetty Racing some time ago. Though the tests were on the LLT models, they showed that the Cold Air Inductions and Injen long-tube gave the highest peak gains. A number of others weren't that far behind, however.

i have the CAI intake and love it. The only problem with the long tube is water if you drive in the rain.

A vararam intake was never tested in either the v6 or v8 test... I guess they chose not to participate in the test.

When are you guys going to stop letting them string you along with their BS?

Buy one of the several quality intakes available and start enjoying it now. I love my Roto-Fab, and the CAI brand has great feedback as well.

Move on with your lives! The LFX Vararam dream is just that...a dream.

If it's affordable and makes more power than the CAI, I would switch from my K&N to an OTR...

If it ever sees the light of day, it doesn't sound like the LFX model will even be OTR, based on what's been said above.

It just wasn't available at that time. What you see in the test is what was widely available when they did the test.

I believe at one point or another in one of the several (V8, V8 re-do, V6) comparisons, Jannetty mentioned that they declined to participate.

Gotcha. For the V8 tests, that could be the case.
