My salesman talked to GM about my specific car which is still showing 4300. He was told that it is ready to ship to the Cementville OH distribution center. They are waiting for a rail car.

I hope so but when the issue is "waiting for a rail car" who knows how long?

Glad I don't have stripes! Dealer said end of next week. Car caught the train yesterday, need to get thru customs, then train ride to Port Elizabeth. Then unloaded, queued for carrier, then arrival at dealer. Hope I can get some pics of it coming off.

Our cars are probably all going to different distribution centers so there's no doubt a lot of juggling of railcars to get them full, then to the right place. I'm not too worried about it (and still glad I got stripes) cause the weather still sucks in Indy. They will arrive eventually and when they do, it ill be a joyous day. It has really helped me to be on a long business trip this week. I frankly haven't spent much time worrying about it.

Thanks. And yes, we still have snow on the ground too. I should probably be shopping for a big plastic bag.

I hear ya. I got the sunroof so opted not to get the stripe pkg. weather here in Baltimore hasn't been good either but it's getting better. Btw, 30th anniversary of the Colts leaving Baltimore for Indy is this week. Wow!

Insurance

I had my agent quote me on a rider for $5000 of "customization" and they want an additional $143/yr. That's 3% of the value of the goods.

Whadda ya think? or

Man, you guys just won't let go of that will ya? The NFL really should make teams leave the name behind if they move ala the Browns moving to BMore.

Also your boy Irsay Jr. will spend it in rehab.

Look into haggerty - they will do agreed value on a new car provided it is driven less than 3500 mikes per year and you have another car five years or newer.

Otherwise for the 5k I'd just carry replacement rider. Depreciation will be more than 5k shortly so maybe take care of that first.

So here is my question guys, my car was built last Friday, it went to hood wrap Monday, been there all week. So the factory is going on shutdown tomorrow, does that mean my car will sit in bay for two weeks? I've seen a few guys on here with TPW's of 3/4 and there cars are just now shipping!!

I read posts from cars in Canada and New York, New Jersey, Il, that TPW's of 3/24 are already getting delivered? How the hell did all the cars from this week pass me up? I'm still in hood wrap????

If you order a 1LE or stripes, you're going to have a detour through a third party supplier after the car is produced and before its put on a rail to your area's distribution schedule. So yes, cars without a hood wrap are going to get shipped while that work is being done. I doubt (but don't know for sure) that the shipping department would shut down when the line does. GM needs the income from these sold cars.

My car was produced 3/17, went out for stripes, is now completely ready to go but sits there waiting for rail car availability. It BETTER NOT sit there for another two weeks.
