I'd still want a camaro ,even if I seen them all day! I wouldnt car if I didn't see one mustang on the road! I still wouldn't choose it over the camaro or Challenger!

So, my bad, however the post below is correct, the MSRP on a 392 Core is $41k, that's bare bones. So, for an extra Grand I got a loaded out 2SS/RS 1LE, well, except for the sun roof. The 392 Loaded out breaks $50k. This is why I have always believe the Challenger doesn't have a very good cost to performance ratio. Even though, I do think its a nice looking car, but just not for me...

Yes, I built one again and realized I checked the wrong box, had the SRT 392, not the Core....but still, over $40k
Boy that's cheap..the chevy dealer near me has a 2014 1le stickered at $56,000.

Right? I just got my 2010 V6, and no, it's not an SS or suped up with all the extras and fancy stuff, but I love it and I am excited to be a part of the Camaro 5 club!

I do think since it's been around awhile now it's not looked at as that big of a deal, I think it is! I have to agree with the Mustang though, there do seem to be a crazy amount of those around driven by everyone and anyone and people don't seem to take as good care of them either.

$56k? Jesus, my dealer had a ZL1 for that much. I don't see how the sticker can get to $56k.

Mine was a little over $46k sticker and had just about everything you can get on it but the sunroof. After military discount, I got it for about $42k, put down $17k and done!!!

I wonder if the owners of the new Mustang or Challenger's get the kind of attention that the Camaro's get? I really like the Challenger and would like to own one, not so much the Mustang.

Russ
Honestly the attention has worn off depending on the trim level and those that customize it. Understand that not all attention is good attention. What you decide to do to it may not look good to others. The 1LE and ZL1 gets attention more than a SS unless the SS owner did some clean custom modifications where joesmuck could obviously see the attention to detail in it.

IMO a V6 doesn't catch my eye neither does a stock SS. A stock 1LE or ZL1 stands out period. You can't mistake either or. The V6/V8 owners who add ZL1 front end, etc Ill just laugh and keep it moving as I don't really care for it. There are some forum members that own a SS that have did some amazing clean mods that look amazing. Then there are some that slap on a ZL1 insert with hash marks, hockey strip decals and every option out there that looks tacky.

As far as Mustangs they get attention. A Boss and GT500 stock looks good and gets attention. I don't really care for Mustangs but if I were to own one it would be a GT500.

Challengers is the same. The only one ill look at or notice is the SRT8. With the new '15 R/T and SRT8, they will have alot of attention. The Scat pack looks great and the SRT8 I'm sure won't disappoint.

With all the things being said here, I have to agree that the Mustangs are pretty common. A Challenger or Camaro is always going to grab my attention more. Even at LSU, I see way more Mustangs than Camaros and Challengers. Just driving around campus, my little car gets attention.

In regards to current generation muscle cars. I think this late in the game the amount of head turning really depends on what you've done with it.
