I'll chime in...I also look back, but attempt to only do it once.

I have thought about, going 1/2 way to the building, pretending to forget something just to get a walkback stare in the morning to keep me going until the afternoon lunch trip or the evening go-home.

Certainly don't want to walk backwards in the morning. That would just look weird.

You do that too? When I drop it off at the dealer I make them check it and document anything they find... but they never do.

No!..Both my car and I both agreed that it would be best if neither looked back after parking. It just makes it easier on both of us until we meet again.

Homewrecker, you have noooothing on me.... I have not yet taken my 2SS anywhere for servce, and will not do so until I have NO other choice.. but I will treat it more carefully than my other cars, and I am OCD beyond belief with them...
Example: my '01 740i Sport, three years ago I bought new 19" Beyern wheels and Yoko tires for it... I had the tire shop make the Asst manager mount the tires on them, I stood over him the whole time he did it, verified they were utterly pristine w no scratches before I took delivery of them (loose), and then I took them home in the back of my truck to mount them on my car myself in my driveway. I have always taken them off once a month to clean the backsides, and always take them off and mount the stock 18" Mpars when I take the car to the indie mechanic for service.

Result: three years and 7500 miles later, they are still mint, zero curb rash, zero lug nuts dropped on the rims, not one scratch, they look brand new... that same Asst manager is terrified that I might come back to them to buy new wheels for my Camaro LOL... I kinda feel like putting him thru it just to be mean!!!

I trace my car with my eyes as I walk away from it. I have tripped over the curb before doing this. LOL.

I have a bad habit of walking backwards so I can stare at it, thinking "Yeah, life IS just that good".
