You could pay Sticker price for your Camaro.
But if the dealer gets you to purchase some HIGH PROFIT add ons like extended warranty, paint protection,or any other of their Many High Priced Crap scams then he gets his markup that way............................

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

POLL: How many have paid sticker, under sticker or over sticker for their 2010 Camaro.
Please use Poll so we don't have to read thru hundreds of posts to get the results, Thanks........

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sticker price meaning : WINDOW sticker (MSRP).........

NOT counting USAA, GM card, CREDIT UNION DISCOUNTS or any of those Type discounts..

ALSO ...NOT with any DEALER ADD on's (like undercoating, wax job, window tinting ,window ID etching or any other
over priced dealer CRAP -that is just dealer markup)

GM dealer installed options (like factory GM strips or 21"wheels etc.) would be part of STICKER.

Paid MSRP for a used 2010 with 300 miles on it. By the time I was ready to drive it off the lot I was offered $5k more that what I paid. The dealer I purchased from now has a 2SS RS Black on Black $10k above MSRP!!!

We paid sticker, I did a lot of research and refused to pay anything over MSRP. We are very satisfied with the car and what we paid for it.

Hey, thanks! I love the subtlety of the stripes and I consistently get compliments on the color.

The car makes me happy.

Imperial Blue 2SS / Black Leather / Manual Trans. / White Rallye Stripes

MSRP: $35,065.00

Purchase Price: $32,357.36 [GMS Price: $32,782.36 minus $500.00 GM Buy-Back, plus $75.00 Document fee].

I don't really mind the Doc. fee because the dealer also got me 3.54% financing!

Bill Heard went out of business just a week or so before I would have been able to order my Camaro, and was the only Chevy dealer in town or even within an hour + drive. Then Legacy bought the dealership with the promise of doing business the "right way", not like it was done before. Hahaha..... right. Same old game under a different name.

This is a military town and the dealership knows Soldiers have money to burn. All Camaro's are marked 10K over invoice (and still are). I haggled with the sales manager for hours to get it down to 5 over invoice. I arrived about 4pm and left in my Camaro at 9:45pm. During the duration of price negotiation, at least three other sales agents came to the sales manager with clients who were ready to buy my Camaro at the 10k over msrp. I didn't wait for the sales mgr to reply, I sent them packing out the door with a simple but blunt statement "she's sold".

I paid 5k over msrp. I am not happy about it, and they know it. But I am very happy with my Camaro, and they know that too. I also think that if my hubby had been here (he was in the sand box) they would have sold it to him for MSRP or very close to it. It was the first time I had ever bought my own car from a dealership. I'd always sent hubby to do the job for me in the past because I know that women are not treated the same at the dealerships as men are. It's sad to say but it is true and you salesmen out there know it too!

Ultimately, I have the car of my dreams, the Camaro I had been dreaming of, wishing for and waiting for. The Camaro, that I since 1983, I thought GM should have built. I will never sell her, she is a one owner car... ME!!! And when I am dead and gone, she goes to my daughter.

P.S. The very next day I was offered $50,000 for my new Camaro, I happily told them no.

Couldn't tell you who they were, that was over three months ago. It was an older gentleman and his wife. They approached me the day after I bought it when I brought in the bank check, said they had seen it on the lot while I was in "haggeling" over the price. They both loved the color and only wanted this color (smart people). Don't know if they ever found one elsewhere, like maybe up in Atlanta or ended up ordering one.

SSJoe, you should join the Military Group (if you are not already a member). And, thank you for the years you served as well.
