I think it's sweet. To the person who said the T/A died for a reason...the Camaro died too. The only reason it was resurrected is because someone made a concept for the Transformers movie and we all went nuts. Do you think that if instead of the Camaro they had gone with a Firebird concept most of you wouldn't have been at the dealer to preorder yours? I dare say we would be on a Firebird forum had that happened...

Umm? Ok? I grew up around camaros, love camaros...but if the firebird had been the one that emerged instead of the camaro I would've bought the firebird and it would have been a FIREBIRD. I was under the impression the concept structure and kits began in late 2005 and 2006? Shortly after, Bay requested the rights to the concept for the movie not vise versa. If transformers used a mustang I STILL would have loved this vehicle and purchased it over a mustang or challenger.....You can say what you want but the following for the mustang and camaro FAR outweight the firebird following.

It is a public forum...period. You are going to get negatives and positives wherever you go. What is the difference between converting the T/A kit from a camaro to the idiot that puts ferrari emblems on a Vette. Oh, since it's two american cars its ok? The majority opinion is that its ugly as holy hell....right up there with the clowns that will buy 30inch spinners with lift kits to put on the camaro...we deal with it, we look at it, but your damn right I will approach the guy at a car show and tell him his car looks like s--- if he spoils a car I am passionate about. If he wants to spoil a mustang....get to it. That's what makes this free country fantastic..

Thing is, this kit is essentially the same as what GM would have done if they were to offer a Firebird ...

For one thing the Camaro and Firebird were pretty similar, and they were both GM products. The Vette and Ferrari is a bad comparison. It doesn't matter when the rights to the concept were, it was the movie that built up the hype. If you want to say the kit is as ugly as holy hell than what are you saying? It obviously looks similar to the Camaro. Some of you need to put down the Hater-ade, straighten your "bowties" and calm down for a minute.

I had a 75 firebird way back in the day...still miss it.

I don't normally like these kind of conversions...but as GM killed pontiac :(...it would be nice to see someone create a tastefull TA.

Plus think about it...a new smokey and the bandit movie!!!

I think the 98-02 WS6's set a standard for the Trans Am. That Chevy Camaro with the Trans Am package doesn't do it for me. Any Trans Am concept at this point is a lost cause because Pontiac is gone and badging a Camaro as a Trans Am is stupid. ASC did a very nice TA concept using a body kit but the front end was butt ugly. ASC's concept car mixed with the front end from the concept would be hot..... If Pontiac still existed. You then would have the complaint of the Trans Am being a re-badged Camaro from people who are driving the Re-badged Toyota Camry Lexus 300's and rebadged Honda Accord's Acura TL's. The Camaro & TA were never any different than these same car manufacteurs who do it with their Camry's/ES300's & Accord's/TL's.

Wow how orignal (sarcasm) lol LOOKS LIKE A GOOFY CAMARO! Well to me that's how they always looked.
For being a "goofy looking Camaro" there were qutie a few years when the TA owned the Camaro, the 77-78 cars & the 98-02 cars are living proof. The 77-78 Camaro's have been forgotten while the Bandit rides high and sure the LS1 Camaro was a good looking car but it couldn't match aggresiveness of the Trans Am WS6.

+1 on your whole post. It was OK when GM put different body kits on cars but god forbid some third party do it...
