i think the concept vert looks cool as hell, these pics aren't flattering, but i think the end result will be just fine (coming from a Z/28 holdout)!

Gotta have a vert!! Had a 98 Firebird vert and there is nothing like driving down the road with the top down. A hardtop would be a welcome addition too!!! GM are you listening!!

Gah. You'd think by now that GM would have figured out that everyone hates tan tops. No one likes them. Everyone complains. They shouldn't have come on the 4th Gen. Why on earth are we looking at tan tops on a 5th Gen?

They better put a black top on the silver cars or else. That is just the ugliest color combo i ever seen. The top itself looks fine its just the color.

For all those wishing for a hard-top 'vert, not sure that is would even be technically possible in a long hood/short rear deck coupe with a roof as big as a Camaro's and still retain the back seat. All that top and mechanism has to go somewhere when it's down. If you look at the hard-top 'verts currently on the market they all have longer looking rear decks than their fixed-roof counterparts and the roofline is quite different looking.
Plus you complain about the weight of the car NOW. Convertibles are already heavier with the extra bracing required to stiffen them. Then adding all the weight of the steel roof parts and braces, interior panels, the actuators and mechanism to make it all work, it'd be a porker for sure!!!!

As for the colors, just as the multi-color mostly red prototype we've seen earlier, these are test vehicles people!

My '67 is my first 'vert. After I got it I decided that there should be a law that every person should own at least one convertible in their life. My top goes down in the spring and never goes up until fall unless I'm caught out in the rain at a show or something like that.

Lechk! Nice, but the color choice is abused
