Why is it that everytime someone posts something to do with GM planning on building a Z28 there are over a 100 replys within hours?

Really?? Yes, the Z28 would've been nice, but seriously, how can you go wrong with the current "SS"?

For 10 Grand, you can add a Supercharger, Ground Effects and a Stripe Package that goes over the roof! So, what's left??

Oh yes, I almost forgot .... the logos!

Anyways, great if GM ever decides to bring back the Z28, but when the day finally comes ... Me and My 2010 SS will be happy to call it brother!

No matter what comes down the road ... My SS will always be my #1 !

Just don't get too excited and put off your orders for SS's hoping for a Z28.
Remember who owns the overwhelming majority of GM. The Obama administration will have all the power to whether a Z28 hits the streets. Remember all the new regs for mileage that the gov't is putting in place.
That could be the ultimate factor in deciding whether we see a Z28 in a
year or so. That is a long time and alot of new legislation will likely come into
law in that amount of time.

When you see one actually sitting on a lot then you can really get excited!!

For some reason I believe this call for a supercharged Z28 will be the real deal.

performance should be even better than the cTS V...?

but for those with the already very cool Camaro SS...

I'd say just slapping a supercharger under the hood for 6 grand is easy enough.

I wouldn't bother to trade in and take a beating on resale at that point...

your cars are way cool the way they are...

If you got the itch for the Z/28 when it arrives.. just supercharge your current ride..

I think the magnuson supercharger even comes with a three year 36 k mile drivetrain warranty for an extra few hundred dollars..

Easily make the same hp or more than the factory LSA.

It's not that there is anything wrong with your SS... Its just not the same to some of us to build our own up. There is just something magical about the name Z/28....

I guess you either get it or you dont... "IT'S A Z/28 THING"

A factory supercharged motor is better than slapping a supercharger on some NA motor. It will have lower compression, stronger parts, etc. You'll be able to run much higher boost. People don't buy GT500's over a base GT + aftermarket blower for nothing.

Meh who cares about mileage, they can pump out a few more high mileage output cars, hybrids or electric, to average out their lineup's overall fuel economy lol.

Time will tell but I like the sound of this....

"With GM now out of bankruptcy, the Z28 program has been restarted. Why? Insiders say the Z28 business case now makes sense because the new UAW contracts have reduced the labor costs on the car to the point where GM feels it can price it competitively-- and far enough away from Corvette."

Cost is pure speculation at this point, but $42k is a pipe dream price. Based on GM's history and trends, this beast will be priced in the $49k - $53k range. But as I said before, it's all speculation...

Try getting one.
The first 20k over MSRP takes it.
I'm imagining something as Machiavellian as that.

I agree, a 2SS/RS is what, $36k? They ain't going to release a supercharged Camaro for only $6k more. CTS-V is $60k so it should be less than that, I'm guessing $50-55k. Probably have major markups the first year or so like when the Shelby's came out.
