not again ...

Quorum, this is getting tiresome. There are more differences between V6 and V8 than you have listed so far (unless I missed a post), and any enthusiast should be able to pick them out (I specified enthusiast because some members of the general public can't tell the difference between Camaro and Challenger). From the front there is the grill, lower lip spoiler, badge, and mail slot. From the rear, there is the badging, exhaust note, spoiler, and exhaust tips. The one difference that would be hard to pick out would be that the SS sits half an inch lower. You would have a much stronger position if you were complaining about a 1SS vs a 2SS because there are no exterior differences between the two. If you can't spot the differences between a V6 and V8, go to Chevrolet.com. They have a 'build your Camaro' tool which lets you spin a car around and lock at it from any number of angles. Use this to identify LS vs 1LT vs 2LT vs SS vs LT/RS vs SS/RS. In fact, I beg that you do that before you create another thread on this topic.

As for your complaint about deserving more because you paid more, you are right. Thing is, you do get more. You get a sport suspension, a V8 engine, and more aggressive appearance. And there is no guarentee that you have worked any harder than someone buying a V6. Paying more for something doesn't mean you have worked harder. People can get paid less for more difficult work, or people can simply choose to buy a more affordable car for any number of reasons.

GM's main concern was keeping the car true to the concept...and that meant in both V6 AND V8 form.

So, do I think there should have been more differences? No. If there were, GM might end up having a more difficult time selling the car.

I think what they did was SMART. BOTH cars look like the concept that brought tears to peoples eyes back in Jan 06. BOTH cars are selling like crazy. Change it up to make them even more different and you'll be straying waaaay too far from the concept that 90% of the buying public polled wanted. Now what are you going to sell?????

....Obviously it wouldn't be the showroom beauty that stopped us dead in our tracks the first time we saw it!

NO. The factory differences are FINE.

....and for those WANTING more or WANTING their cars to be different and stand out from the others, I have one word for you....

AFTERMARKET!!!!!
