The 21 inch wheels, brakes and rear spoiler along with front fascia are the only differences I can see? However what about the interior?
I thought the 21 inch wheels were just like a dealer installed type of thing and you could get them for any model.

Scott said when you order the RS package and also want the 21 inch wheels they give you some money back for the other wheels or something to that effect, to that makes me think you can get them on a V6.

im interested in what the V8 will have to offer that the V6 doesnt as well.

hahaha right there with ya...

also, what is the general "estimate" that an RS package would cost? Let's say an SS runs base at 30k...would one guess the RS package would run about 3-4k? (I know I know, many are tired of the guessing game...I am just more curious about the RS package price guess).

I can no doubt live without a HUD, it's just one of those cool features to have on a dream car...thats all

Yes, the 21" wheels are a dealer installed option. The SS/RS will come standard with 20" wheels...same as the LT/RS. :( Although hopefully there will be some differentation between the two.

Since no one has seen an official SS yet, not sure. But it looks like the RS comes with the same 20s painted a specific color per the Cheryl Pilcher article. Of course, that's the same guy who misquoted her, so until we see an official SS only Scott's hairdresser knows for sure....

CP: "The RS package is available on all models except the LS. Like I said, it has HID lighting, a darker tailamp treatment, and on a V-6 RS you get the spoiler found on the SS. The wheels are expected to have a unique paint treatment - not black, but not a typical bright silver finish. And then the V-6 RS option also includes 20-inch wheels."

It APPEARS the visual difference will be the bumper and the mail slot, but we shall see....

Yeah, but as someone posted somewhere on here, there is a long history of non-functional stuff on Camaros and similar cars, there are even those who argue that the hood on the previous generation SS, while technically "real" didn't really do much, I have no problem with the look either way....

Seeing that the 'RS Package' when purchased for the SS will only include (at least from what we've been told) the HID/Halo Headlights and different taillights I doubt it will cost $3000-$4000.

I would assume it wouldn't go over $1000 for the SS.

On the V6 model it will cost more because you'll be getting the 20" Wheels and Spoiler that the SS already come with, as well as the head/taillights.

Ha ha, I'm kinda scared that I'm gonna have a 40k SS with all the great options and possible dealer installed accessories. Oh well it'll be mine! Oh ya I want my damn HUD at release...or at least by July 09

As for "options packages", we'll "you can't please everyone".

I don't mean that to sound "smug". There are bound to be things which some will find fault with concering the new Camaro. That being said, find the best option(s) which work for you and/or fit in your budget, and enjoy them. So there may be something in a package that you don't like/want,....that's a small price to pay for being able to enjoy a new Camaro once again.

And if the options packages don't offer what you're lookingfor, I'm sure there will be a huge aftermarket offering you what you're looking for.

Nope. Not at least in the same way as you might be thinking.

If you refer to my post reguarding my Grandfather's 1985 Eldorado on the previous page, the days of picking and choosing each individual option is over. The best you can do today is picking your trim (LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, 2SS) and a combination of packages that the company will build in that trim.

Besides, even the base LS will come standard with 95% of the features that we used to consider as options just a few years ago.
