I understand what they are trying to do, but I think it would be smarter to make Synergy Green available on all models and sell as many cars as they can.

It's obvious that GM has to meet its CAFE requirements and they can do it easier with a higher percentage of V6 sales. As for the "no RS package" I am sure it has something to do with GM's suppliers not being able to keep up with the RS components. Or it's possible that the supplier's price has increased and GM will have a very competitive price point on a 1LT synergy green to compete with Ford and Dodge.

As I read all of these comments, it sounds like those of you that bought a V8 have the only "true" muscle car. You couldn't be further from the truth. I am going to really laugh when the price of a gallon of gas hits $4 again, and it will, soon. Unfortunately, it will be here to stay as well. Then the forum will be full of the V8 owners bitching about how much the V8 costs to drive. At $2.50/ gallon, a V8 is a great deal, but knowing that $4/ gallon is coming, the V6 is a great choice! Believe me I know, I own a 35 ft. motorhome with a Chevy 8.1, and I've filled up 70 gallons at $4.60, at a cost of $320 for 1 fill-up!!! Synergy Green with a V6 is a great way to increase V6 sales, also look to see this special edition pricing out under $30k.

Ok, I can understand having a "synergy package" for "going green" and all. I might even be able to live with the fact that: that awesome color is reserved for that package. Also, I guess (with enough time mind you) I can understand that "going green" would require getting a v6 and not v8. (Ignoring the controversy about wheather or not "going green" is just a political scam or if it really does help.)

BUT COME ON!!! NO SPOILER AND ONLY A "maby" ON THE HUD!!?!?!?

I read somewhere that whenever a car comes out, its always the collectors/car enthusists to go for it first, thus more sales for the nicer version of the cars (in this case the SS models) Then once the cars been out for a little while the models will begin to even out.

if thats true then why are they trying to boost v6 sales?

It's ridiculous that people are still talking about "going green" after all the fake science that has been put into creating the mess over the last 20 years and more money into the pockets of all those involved in the biggest hoax of all time. So GM wants to make a "green" statement by only selling this color on a V6.. Well, it just goes to show that they believe in the false pseudo science that needs to make up data to even stay close to relevant. I said it before, and I'll say it again.. This is a very dumb move by GM's marketing team..

My guess at the logic (not that I think it is the best logic, mind you)....

LT = only one front fascia to develop.

V6 only, because some marketing study says this will take market share from imports and these customers don't want a V8.

1LT only = no need to source green leather and matching door panels.

No RS = no need to have the spoiler and roof molding sourced in the new color

No RS = Deal with Pirelli for high-cost tires at little or no cost is running into the maximum volumes already.

All just guesses, no inside info here.

Me niether....I was looking at orange, thinking of green, and arranging to pick up the Vette I sold off another dealers lot, all in the same 30 second time frame.....It's no wonder any of it made sense at all. No wonder why my wife always looks at me funny!

I know gm looks at this board so heres my take,

killing abm= fail
no green for the SS= fail

But hey, you can probably get the challenger in sublime green next year with the soon to be larger hemi on the srt.

Why would a recent post bankrupt GM ever want to limit potential sales of a car especially for something as silly as an exterior color. Offer the color on all models of the Camaro and let all who want it get it. It's not my personal favorite but it's a poor business decision to limit the color to 1LT only.

Its not that anyone's "afraid" of anything its just stupid to buy a V6 muscle car, i always thought it was stupid when people bought V6 Mustangs just to feel cool without having the real deal and im not gonna change my mind just cause my brand has stepped up to the plate, lol

Also i do believe they will burn out the Camaro if they try to release so many special packages with the Camaro, thats what? three? plus the Transformers one that will already, plus the Convertible on top of that (which btw we dont know if the Synergy green will be available in convertible do we? It wouldnt surprise me since they said no RS) AND on top of all that they have the Z/28 coming out...not too mention seeing and hearing so much about the Camaro, sadly, ive already become a little dulled to it =/ I hate to say it cause again im a huge GM fan and an even bigger die-hard Camaro fan (currently driving one and supporting the Camaro return above everything else) but still, too much exposure gets old quick
