The biggest problem is at the point where Cherry Bomb tells you to cut the factory pipe on the passenger side (13.75" back from a specific point on the IRS), there is a factory "crimp" about 1.5" back from where you are supposed to cut caused by the factory putting a bend in the pipe. I'm worried about the slip-fit section even being able to seal because of this crimp causing the pipe not to be round.

At this point, I would recommend that anyone that wants to order the Cherry Bomb system should probably order the "cat-back" that comes with the X-pipe. Trying to mate the "axle back" up to the factory pipe is becoming a real nightmare!
Do you have any pics?

Got my cat-back in this morning, installed this afternoon and WOW! Loving the sound! Little fitment issue around the rear diff, we bent the pipe a little but now it's real close to the frame and bangs going around sharp turns. All in all, can't complain though. This system sounds great! Best bang for the buck!! Smooth transaction and quick shipping from Performance Exhaust Plus as well!

The frame and diff clearance are easily resolved by adjusting the muffler section down and to the left rear tire of the car. I had to rotate the section that connected to the x-pipe slightly as well. Tight fit but no rattles.

I agree CB needs to do a remeasure and fix this. It looked like the hangers were off and the pipe didn't line up correctly when I tried the first install. I guess we will see when the replacement gets here. They are supposed to send me the whole right side. The drivers side went on perfect though. I did take pictures on my buddy's phone of the side that didn't fit. I will see if I can get them posted tomorrow.

No, no pics at this time. The problems I am having with the "axle back" are:

1) The angles are off on the exhaust tips and rear hanger rods so there is poor centering of the tips in the rear valence cut-outs.
2) The clearance between the IRS frame member on the passenger side is too tight leading to the pipe hitting the member.
3) The angle of hanger rods is wrong at the differential. The factory rubber isolators have to be stretched to fit because now they are too short. This puts a pulling force on the pipe that makes it want to bang into the frame member.

I WILL make it fit. Oh yes...I will...I'm very determined.

Finally

Here's the pics...finally got everything fitting. I couldn't get the front slip joint between the stock pipe and the coupler pipe on the passenger side to seal. (due to the factory crimp in the stock pipe at this location) so I ended up using a lap joint clamp.

I'm surprised. This system is quieter than I thought. But I have been driving around in a 2003 Mach 1 Mustang with BBK longtubes, off-road H and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers all week long waiting to get this thing finished!

The mufflers are so small and tuck up so nice that no one would see them when it's on the ground.

Hmmmm....not to be an ass but there are several links in here to YouTube vids that are LS3 specific. One of a drive by, sitting still revving (my car), and of a take off.

Without searching and consolidating the links for you, there is not much else anyone can do.

To simplify it, go to YouTube and search "2010 Camaro Cherry Bomb". You will find all the info you are looking for.

Thanks.
