So I have taken a bit of a hiatus from modifying the Camaro because I was in the process of moving. I moved from fort lauderdale , FL to a small town near Ocala, FL called Chiefland. I sold my 1300 square foot house for a profit due to the crazy housing market and bought a 2200 square foot house on 20 acres of land and walked away with a little cash in my pocket. Car community here is definitely slim pickings... but its got beautiful long roads to open her up and have a blast cruising. Having a daughter definitely changed my outlook on life, and I didn't want my baby growing up in South Florida. The Camaro is not for sale, and probably never will be. In fact, I have everything I need to do the clutch now, and I just got a shipping notification from Mr.Bling regarding my intercooler kit. AND I have a garage to do all the work in! One of my dreams come true. I'll show you guys the garage once I fix it up a bit and make it more of a man cave.

The kit from Mr. Bling has finally arrived. Apparently he held my order up because of the "polish" option that I selected. I told him not to worry about it and ship my order as is. It arrived this week and I am so stoked to have the last MAJOR piece of the boost puzzle. I know this build is pretty mild, and after looking at alot of numbers I really wish I went with a ZL1 blower or a magnuson but... still excited to make some more power. Should be a blast compared to what it is now.

Looks good! Extra grounds on these cars are a must. That trunk carpet is sick too. I have to get one.

I actually didn't think to check because I just assumed it was raw metal. I want to tidy up the wiring and zip tie it all together, so I'll check when I do that.

Check out lloyds mats. I ordered a full kit from Amazon, but you can buy every mat individually. Custom piping embroidery, etc... really nice.

To all my boosted Camaro 5 brethren...

I spoke to my new tuner. Jeff's Tuning and performance based out of Ocala, FL. He seems to be very knowledgeable and has first hand experience tuning 5th gens with Torqstorms and Novi/Paxton style 1500 blowers. He says that the ZL1 fuel pump needs a Boost-a-pump to run this blower. he says that with the 850cc injectors that I have and a ZL1 fuel pump with a BAP will make 520-530rwhp give or take. he says the Boost-a-pump is necessary to make this power figure and that with the BAP, it could handle as much as 600-650rwhp with a cam, and other mods. My question is this... At $200 for a Zl1 Pump, $200 for a used BAP, or $350-$400 new... Should I just get a dual fuel pump system? Like the Deutschwerks or Holley kit? Or is the BAP a great option for my goals?

I know that we all say " You will always want more power" but I don't think that is me. I just want to make blower noises, and have a choppy idle... Being able to destroy scat packs and Mustang GT's is just an added bonus.

I just spoke to a friend of mine that's pro charged. He explained to about the nightmare of a leak he had from the bap. He could never fix it and ended up making such a mess of things he actually bought a new fuel tank. If I was you I would go with a holley dual pump.

I could be wrong but I believe what your friend has going on is something like a DSX AUX pump where you drill into the gas tank and add an external pump. To my understanding the BAP is just a voltage controller that pushes more voltage to a "stock" pump and makes it move more volume. Like a Kenne Bell boost a pump. My Zl1 pump would mount the same as my current SS fuel pump.

I thought all bap (boost a pump) were all aux pumps. Anyways I thought that was what you were referring to. I haven't even heard of that kind of system. Sounds good to me if you can get 650 whp out of it. But I've been looking into the Holley only thing is you got to run a return line.

Picked up a holy grail part for the Camaro this week. I paid a pretty penny for it too. I actually found someone selling an ACS big mouth functional mail slot kit, complete. Very excited for this!
