Hey jinx, this is pretty off topic, but do you think you can render a camaro/reventon? If not its cool, I was just wondering if that could be possible and what it would look like. Thanks man!

it's not so much a matter of me doing better or not... i'm just not that impressed with the design.

the fog lights are the most apperant change. just figured there'd be more to it then some fog lights and a mis matched see through hood...

dont get me wrong, he knows how to use ps but it's just not up there for me.

Im all for constructive critism, but I have to say this. What do you want vent on every surface and a change that make it look less like a camaro and more like a ferrari?

The changes were to be as mild as the V6 changes into the SS bumper. It subtle. I done the same for carrying over the design from SS to Z28. Subtle but still different. Its more to it than a different shape foglights.

Ex: The point or tip of the center bumper beaks out instead on hanging straight down. I havent heard no one mention it, but it a change that isnt intended to stick out like a sore thumb.

Ex: The foglight bumps are lower for the foglights and raps around tighter to where it almost meets the lower grille

Ex: the molded lip's point in further out and sharper and the edges not not as tall; so that when the carbon splitter is added it doesnt lose dramatice amount of curb clearance.

Ex: Cowl is higher, but not so high it sticks out to the point it doesnt fit the car.

Ex: Hood Window, as mention was a feature I tried to play with an idea. The idea was an attempt to create "trim" or "Z-tiered" branding between models.

Ex: Rear spoiler's peak is higher (like on the 4th gen SS's spoiler). The center piece of the spoiler has a carbon fiber insert to accent the taillight center (or berger area) and front splitter.

So, the changes were nto intended to make the car look dramatically different, but more aggressive and appear to be a higher model. Subtle can go a long way in changing the overall appearance.

But like I said before, I designed this concept with some people thoughts from many forums in mind. It was designed to fit a majority, not a minority. But if you have something you had in mind that could be tried in the different concept that Ill try later on, Im all ears. Tell me details you want and discuss it with people.

But keep it mind its a Camaro not "the Homer" (see: old Simpson's episode)

well to be fair, i though that the ss difference was a little on the small side as well.

same goes with the rs options...

and while i appreciate your offer, i dont think i'll be taking you up on it; i do my work in 3d... not 2d.

I do both, but for the forum environment and for timesake to gather public opinion I do 2D. If I did Clay modeling or cad, it would take weeks in between getting an idea out on my schedule versus hours and days, not to mention more costly for clay modeling. I would like to hear your suggestions that you have. Im not asking you to make them, Im asking you , in words, throw it on the table for people to discuss constructively. Expressing an idea, goes further than just saying you have an idea.

I think I'm gonna have to call on this one.

If you're working in true 3d a simple photo, even if it looks like crap, will elicit an immediate apology from me.

I made this new wallpaper with my Z28 concept. It features a direct front view of the car:

The only thing I don't like is the side angle - the lip is pointing upward. Otherwise, it is gorgeous.
