Just what I was saying before; most dentist can handle simple endodontics. The complex cases are referred off to the specialists.

So how can you afford a viper without making money?

And can I get your opinion on why you wouldn't be willing to put diamonds on someone's teeth?

One other thing, when I had him do my cavities last time which was back in the summer of 08, yeh I know but I've got a fear of the dentist, even though he did give me a shot there were certain times when I actually did feel pain. So I'm wondering is it possible that when he's doing it, he'll screw up and when he's tugging on the nerve, I'll feel pain coming on and feel like going ballistic on his a*s? And I do know that it hurts horribly, after talking with people who did feel pain when they had theirs done. These friends and relatives told me that it felt worse than a mothaf*ucka.

Actually I was speaking to my father, and even though I'm no sure if he had a rct done, but he explained to me how lucky I am that I don't feel any pain, because when one of his teeth hurt, he had the dentist extract it in order to get relief.

By the way, why is it called root canal therapy? What kind of sadistic therapy is it? I mean did they take the idea from a horror movie and said "hm...let's make this sound legitimate by adding the word therapy at the end"? Killing, the root/nerve isn't something that I would call therapy. It sounds to me more like legal abuse, torture and molestation of teeth than "therapy". In my opinion, whoever came up with the name, needs some psychiatric therapy in a mental institution.

Also, is it possible to have it chipped in such a way that it may have went right to the nerve. It's not on the x-ray but my last tooth (not the actual tooth, more like something on it) feels "chewy".

And over the weekend I may have swallowed some of this delicious pulp that's inside my teeth.

Also, none of my teeth hurt, so if my dentist mentions an extraction, I'm gonna say no and try all of my willpower to stay calm and not get angry.

Also, I'm kind of wondering, one of my adult teeth never developed properly and instead of having pushed out the "baby" tooth and taken over it's place it developed in a way that it became sideways and is stuck somewhere in my gums. It's one of my front teeth. The "baby" tooth managed to develop into an adult tooth. What I'm wondering is will this ever turn into a problem when I will become old?

Also the tooth no longer feels chewy, it feels normal now.

If you had exposed a nerve you wouldn't have the time to type a post in this thread; you would be in an emergency room. The pain would become pretty unbearable.

You might consider a different guy!

I have to. Pretty much he comes in, I was hoping that he could answer my questions and concerns but after finding out that I went to get another dentist's opinion, he basically tells me that he won't do the x-rays, cleaning, and fillings. I mean honestly, wtf? He doesn't explain anything and tells me to get out and find another dentist

Also, can you answer this for me:

Well, your "baby" tooth (primary, deciduous tooth) didn't develop into an adult tooth. If you still have that tooth then a couple of things are possible. The tooth could have become what is called ankylosed. That means that the root or some portion of the root has fused together with the bone of your jaw. Or, the root developed just fine and the "baby" tooth is just being it's normal self.

As our permanent teeth develop, the push against the roots of the deciduous teeth and cause them to resorb (dissolve). When the root of the deciduous tooth is mostly dissolved the deciduous "baby" tooth gets loose and falls out. A few months later the permanent tooth pops up in the same spot.

Because your permanent tooth is sideways up in the jaw, it was not aimed at the baby tooth so this didn't happen. If the tooth root was resorbed partially then it is very likely that the tooth ankylosed.

This may or may not be a problem later in life. It is difficult to say, and you may never have a problem.

I would say that 1 or 2 out of every 5 people I see has an unerupted third molar or "wisdom tooth" that they did not even know was there. They could live their entire life and it would not be a problem, even long after all of their teeth fall out. Or, when they are 80 or 90 years old it could just decide that it is time to erupt into the mouth.

If you have an x-ray of that front tooth I could tell you more what is going on. To be precise I would need two x-rays taken at different angles from the mesiodistal direction and I would need to know which image was more mesial (or distal)

The x-ray I will probably have in a few days. Unfortunately, I caught something last week and it progressed into a full blown cold yesterday. Today I feel like s*it, and that's after having taken most of my antibiotic. Hopefully I'll start feeling better tomorrow or tuesday and will be able to go look for a new dentist and have the work done.

I'm kind of wondering if it is possible to fix an overbite by using veneers? I had braces done when I was much younger, but they didn't fix the overbite in the long run.

It kind of sucked, the orthodontist who did it, has a very good reputation but braces didn't do anything for me

Highly unlikely.
