So have you fully made your mind up about which car you're getting? Did you check and see if you can still order one?

I fully made my mind on which car I'd like to get... but sadly, I can't order one and there's only 2 out their that are on the lot, and, I don't think I'll have my down payment before they sell.

I had my mind set on a Synergy Green Special Edition.

So, If I can get one of the 2 before they're gone, than that's what I'm getting, If not, I'm gonna have to get a 2011, which I'm probably looking at $31,370 instead of $29,370.
So, wish me luck on the cheaper one, if not, I GUESS I can live with a HUD

-Edit-
Well, within an 800 Mile Radius there are 6 of the Synergy Green Special Edition's left, but only 2 that come with both a sunroof and the Boston acoustics, which for me, I won't get it with no sunroof (Because I can't logically add one on later, and I've always loved sunroofs.) and like I said before, If I don't get the $500 sound system now, I'd be to tempted to put in a $4,000 sound system later.

I was thinking that before...but my old car had a full system, with two 12 inch JL Audios. I was surprised by how good the STOCK system is on my LT that I'm not even going to bother adding subs. Go to a dealer and have them show you, I think you'll be happy with even the base system.

Get whatever makes you happy. It sounds like you want the V-6.

The V-8 sounds too expensive for you to buy, insure, fuel, and maintain.

It also sounds like you live at home. What happeneds when you move out? or they kick you out?

If you are not putting any money down a V-6 camaro will cost you about $400 a month for the car payment and about $350 month for the insurance payment where I live for someone your age..

Since you have this $700 a month extra why don't you simulate the payments for a while and save $700 a month for a year. Then you will have $8400 for a down payment and taxes.

Then you could get a 2011 which will be better built becuase they will fix little bugs in the car.

Don't buy any kind of expensive car right now.

USE your money to pay for some kind of college. You are at the perfect age to be in school. you would fit right in with the other kids. You might find a much, much higher paying job and then you can buy any car you want and move out and get your own place.

BUT IF COLLEGE is not something you plan to do, then buy a 2011 Camaro SS.

I'd rather drive a Cobalt and not live with my parents than drive a Camaro and live with my parents.

It's not wise to dump so much of your earnings into a car.

I think it's wise to say that all auto expenses (loans, insurance, gas, maintenance) should nto exceed what, 20-25% of your income? Even that seems a little high.

Somebody with a little bit of sense.

Yes and I agree that even 25% is high.

Well, the $500 now isn't for the Sub's, that's just upgrades the speakers from what are in the 2LT to the 9 speaker system that are stock in the 2SS.

-Edit-
Also, to the people saying "You don't want to live with your parent's or what if they kick you out."
I'm just saying, that was not part of the question, because, you may not get along with your parents or something, but, I havent been living at home for about 4 months now, and my mom's been begging me to move back home with her, and, idk, it may be weird to you, but, me and my GF both want to go move with her, it's just a comfortable atmosphere, me and my mom get along great, she makes breakfast lunch and dinner every day, and is a very good cook, she respects my privacy, and I have no problem with living with her.
And those of you that said "Don't get the car spend your money on College." or whatever, College is the one think that my Dad's actually paying for me, He won't buy me a $2,000-$5,000 starter car, but, he's got thousands saved up for college.
Also, those of you that say "A car shouldn't exceed 20% of your income." that's coming from a person that has money to flaunt, people that want to say "I make 50-100k a year look at me" (That's how much you'd have to make to get a Camaro at 20% income) and, like I've said many times, I am NOT a big spender, $500-$1200 a month is MORE than I really need, I've just been wasting my money before I made up my mind to save for the car, because, I just didn't care. I felt like Bill Gates, with all the money in the world, and just spent spent spent, So, would I rather keep spending $1000 on my computer here, than $500 for my monitor there, than blow another $500 into games the month after that? I mean, I even bought 2 x box 360's a PS3 and a Wii, because, I had left over money, and nothing to spend it on, I was stupid back than, and I just didn't care and that still left me with money to give my mom a bit when she wasn't working for a month or so. (By the way, I stopped spending money like that after last month, I just payed off my debt and started saving when I made up my mind for the Camaro)

If you notice, the people in my situation, that make near what I make, all say "Best decision I ever made. I say go for it man its your life and do what makes you happy."

Aren't the 2LT speakers the same ones that are in the 2SS? I mean both BA 9-speakers? My 2LT has the BA speakers, and I didn't have to pay anything extra to upgrade it I don't think.

Maybe the 2LT does, idk, but I'm probably getting the 1LT, because I want to get the Synergy Green Special Edition, I might get a 2011 Synergy Green Metallic 2LT if it doesn't cost to much more (Well have to see when they release the price on the 2011's), if I don't have my 5k by the time the few Special Edition 2010's sell.
