Send her to a High performance driving school

I'm sending the wife to Willow Springs raceway for a day of training. $350. Worth the money

Well, my 2SS/RS CGM M6 is MY daily driver. I have a 35 mile commute mostly city driving - love it, would have no other (except when I ride my Kawasaki 900). All four of my kids were taught how to drive and took their driver's tests using a manual speed vechicle.

I think everyone should know how to drive a stick, but maybe not so good to be a first-timer with the Camaro though - they are a little tricky and the skip-shift will confuse the hell with someone inexperienced. My two cents.

Good luck..

i let the wife pick mine up from the dealer, so i can always throw that at her!!!
gotta have a trump card, with women.

i also teach my kids stick, and first car must be manual, then after that, they get to choose.

Go for it...and it looks like you will be. Taught my Daughter several years ago using a program developed by the driving school I sent her to...very impressive. She was driving within 20 minutes, the car is not even running the first five, doesn't move the next five, barely moves the next, and left the driveway solo! I wasn't in the car one time during the lesson. She was hooked on manuals for many years after, just recently chose an automatic...with paddles of course...due to rush hour traffic. Hit me up if you want the details.

I just got back from three days working in Atlanta. I drove the old pickup to DFW because I was afraid to park my Camaro in the Remote North Parking. While I was gone my wife put 132 miles on my Camaro. Before I left, we talked about keeping the miles off the Camaro by driving the truck and Jetta. I might have to rethink giving her a key...

everyone should experience driving a manual trans vehicle. As far as using the Camaro I forsee no probs as long as Traction/stability control are still on. As far as the keeping the clutch good just make sure she knows that pedal is not a foot rest, once the car is moving get your foot off the pedal as slight pressure on it can cause the release bearing to ride on the pressure plate fingers.
