Received my 2011 2LT last week with HUD. When I ordered last May did not even know what HUD meant and only after I ordered was it announced HUD would be standard on a 2011 2LT. Have not even driven my 2011 2LT for more than a week but love the HUD. You have 4 information display options you can change on your HUD plus adjust brightness or not use it at all (plus more information you can display [radio etc]). An option I would have never considered paying extra for but now I love the HUD.
The light display on my windshield you can even adjust up or down viewing on your lower windshield. I do not find it distracting and you can dim it or turn it off. When the HUD is turned on, the lighting image on your lower windshield is as clear and sharp as other dash gauges.
Love my HUD. In the 2011 Camaro Manual, starting on page 5-27 thru 5-31 are instructions specific to HUD and how to use it, adjust it.
Not an extra I would have ordered, now a standard on a 2011 2LT, love the HUD on my 2011 2LT.

So as GM dos all the time there is a new part number before the first part number is out, Now that is funny so HUD on order here in 3 days then will see, But still no trim part there must be a new part number for that too.
