I got my car back today. The sensor I bought from my Chevy dealer work fine in my wheels. I drove all the way home from the shop and no lights. I think the issue has been resolved for me.

FYI - I ordered the sensors from the parts dept. at my dealer. They ordered them based on the VIN of my car. These sensors work.

FWIW, I found this in the build sheet of the 2011 2SS I have ordered:

XL7 - FREQUENCIES RATING 315 MHZ, LONG DISTANCE

Looks like I've been ripped off. SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nine Ball got my sensors back that I sent him, and somewhere in all the swapping back and forth, someone stole mine and put diffent ones on the car. They aren't even GM sensors. So obviously not the ones Nine Ball sent to me.

I thought they looked funny. I just thought they got all jacked up with all the times they've been taken off and removed.

Yes, PQ's TPMS issues might have an answer now. The sensors he sent back to me are likely some sort of Chrysler sensors, and are 433.92 MHz - the entirely wrong frequency. Whoever installed them did some SUPER hackjob work on getting the stems attached too. Here are the photos. My Orange Electronics sensor is on the right, the questionable sensor on the left. The last pic is the hackjob work they did to make the stems attach to the sensor body. Whatever shop did this, RUN from them!

Well, they were pairing and then dropping off before I sent them to Savini this last time just like the first time. I'm thinking they wouldn't even pair at all if they are completly different.

Not sure, but looks like an RR on the back of that one. Rent & Roll?

Found this:

Quote:
How do TPMS service tools work?
The majority of today's sensors can be activated or woken by sending a 125 kHz LF signal (either continuous wave or modulated). This signal forces the sensor to transmit a coded message at either 315 MHz or 433.92 MHz. The dealer tool will decode that message and provide the CORRECT FEEDBACK to the technician. An effective tool will have in it all the necessary protocols to be effective on all of these types of sensors.

I'm so tired of this shit. No way for me to know who stole my shit. Looks like R&R on the back of that sensor. But they were pairing when I sent them to Savini the second time. So my car can't pair at all with 433.92 sensors then whoever Savini used to do my wheels, stole my damn sensors.

I'm guessing mine is an isolated case here. This last time Savini had my wheels I think they sent me the worng sensors back. I don't think the sensors I just sent tony were EVER on my car.

Nothing changes I guess.

PQ...you do have me a lil nervous as I have the same wheels as you but all chrome. Do you think it could a drive shaft problem?

Nope. I still think it's the wheels or tires. Most likely the wheels, but like I've been saying, I will give the car an entire once-over, then I get different wheels.

I'd love to say you'll be fine, but there's no way to know. At least your adds are good. Seems I'm the only one who got bad ones.

For the record, I'm not pissed at Savini, especialy Nick, who is 'Savini' here on the boards. I just got a bad set of wheels or tires or a car problem. I plan on proving one or the other or the other.

RR = Right Rear. Each sensor has different letters written on it. LF = Left Front, RF= Right Front, LR = Left Rear etc...

These sensors are in awful shape, like they have been in a war. That pic of the ones I sell was also a used sensor. Sensors really only wear out the rubber seal when used, nothing on the hard parts.

Jay, the sensors I sent you and you sent back *might* work, but for now I won't be selling any TPMS sensors for 2010 Camaro orders. I'd stick with GM sensors until the issue is resolved.

Ok. Then Savini sent me back the wrong sensors.

I'll get them back dude. Just hold on to the money til I get you the right ones.

Can someone sum this up in a short version of what we need to do with the TPMS when we change to new wheels.

Thanks

Clay
