auto for me and especially the wife--clutch smell bad

I think I will do the auto. My 67 427 corvette has a keisler 5 speed and that is a lot better than the original muncie but stressing every time my wife wants to drive it and driving in car rallys and trips...it can get to be a pain. I also have a hard time talking on the phone, playing with the ipod and drinking something while driving

I prefer a manual since i go through alot of curves and turns on my way to work and an auto just cant seem to keep speed going into and coming out of them. It's hard to keep the engine at the rpms i want want without a clutch. Also, I'm not sure how much of a problem this would be with even the auto having 400 hp, but downshifting to get onto the highway or pass someone always feels good.

Thats not an issue with this automatic. It will do what you want it to.

Drive the Cobalt SS/TC. The Getrag F-23 in that features no lift shift, that will blow your mind. Shifting gears manually and never leaving the gas. Crazy.

so as not to hit the rev limiter every time you push the clutch.
in the RX8, it just took a minute to get over the mentality that you lift off to change gears

The ECM will blip the throttle for the exact amount of time you have the clutch engaged. Soon as you shift and disengage the ECM picks up where you left off. Amazing.

The new 370Z has an awesome blipper, check out the animation at their site.

Manual is in the gear I want, every time.

I kind of wish they would have put the Cobalt SS/TC no lift shift in the maros Trans that would have been retarded!!

For everyone saying they have to get automatic because their wife can't drive stick, MAKE HER.

My fiance didn't know how to drive standard but I told her that she was learning or she wasn't driving my cars. I taught her and it was rough in some spots but we got through it and she was happier for it.
