All I know is if it somehow does come back and it has like that photo the pontiac grill front in on it

But as it's been said quite frequently, if a Firebird were to ever succeed, it would need to be a different car from the Camaro as to not deviate sales from its once-cousin. Basing it off of the second-gens would be doing the same thing Chevy did with the Camaro: taking styling cues from the most memorable, sought after generation.

i understand that it need to be different but they were blending 2 different generations in those designs and i dont think it looks right. they need to stay like the camaro in the way that it is NOT a retro car and go for the more modern approach with slight design ques from the past.

Aww c'mon....why not? Mach 1 got a shaker hood. You need to show Ford how it's supposed to look and work.

they had another photoshop that looked pretty good too...anybody have that one so i can compare...

i'm certain a custom shop like chip foose can make a camaro look like that it shouldn't be that hard...you have to make custom panels and a paint job...the hardest part would be chaning the back lights to look like the old 2nd gen trans am

Thank god that it wont even be a consideration...

Its been stated, if the firebird ever came back that it would be its own car and not based on the camaro.

PS - ALSO the trans-am is dead, GM would have to renegotiate naming price since its not owned by them.

it used to cost them like 1 dollar for each car to use the name...all they have to do is add 1 dollar to the price of the car to cover that cost...

like i've said previously don't expect the firebird to come back until camaro sells like hotcakes and 4-6 years from now gm is looking for an interesting refresh

i'm certain though that foose or somebody like that will custom make a camaro into a bird somehow the second photoshop shown on this page looks possible
