[QUOTE=ssmike;5769419]Update from NYC. It's been a tough 5 days, 17 hour work days and sleeping in the truck! :( There's a lot of hurting ppl here so I urge all of our Upstate C5 members to please support the Red Cross with a donation. I'm in Coney Island today and it's a mess. Yesterday we were in the Rockaways and Hamilton Beach area of Brooklyn. We saw large and small boats in the middle of the street 1/2 mile from the water. No power and many homeless.

Please pray for our friends from Staten Island C5. Here's a link from a member! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259025

When we were driving around Coney Island we came across a Camaro SS that had been submerged, along with many many other cars in the neighborhood!

Jackie is a member Erie County SMART it is an emergency medical response team. She got the call to be deployed to Nassau County to work in a shelter. She left yesterday afternoon and will be there till Tuesday afternoon. Things are pretty bad down there as you can attest to. I am happy that she is able to help those that need it so much right now. Be safe down there while you are working.

Thanks Ron! We will do our best! I'm glad Jackie is able to help out down here! Tell her I said stay safe and do her best to help out!

We actually got a break today and found a hotel after 3 nights sleeping in the truck! Got a well needed shower and a good breakfast! Back out to Staten Island this afternoon!

So, I put my car away yesterday which involved moving it from my garage to a barn about 3 miles away. When I started it up I was hearing a small ticking noise under the hood (not valves). I expected that by the time I arrived to the storage barn I should have heat but even though the temp gage read normal I never got any heat from the heater I suspect the noise and lack of heat are related. What's up with this? Mt chassis warranty is already up. I will now have to wait until spring to find out what is going on.

No heat usually means there's not much antifreeze / coolant left, but since the temp gauge read normal you probably have enough coolant so maybe the electronic valves for the heater aren't opening. Maybe the noise is whatever motor(s) control those valves?

Check the passenger side floor, if there's coolant on it it's your heater core more than likely

Have you (or anyone else) had any issues with the fit of your Street Scenes/Stillen GFX kit. What about getting it painted? I've heard of possible paint issues because of the flexibility of urethane. They look great on your car, not like an afterthought. I'm thinking just side skirts for mine.

Thanks, fitment was good, but I've read where some have received side skirts where the pass side was too short and had to box them back up and send them back. They attach at front and rear using the existing 2 screws in both the front and rear fender wells. They are also attached using 3M tape along the length. My installer also added screws along the rocker under the rubber door seal. The pieces on the lower rear quarters are attached with 3M tape only. Mine have been on since May of 2011 with no issues and paint is still perfect.
While I had good luck with the skirts, not so much with the front splitter. After about a month something trapped inside it outgassed, causing the surface of it to blister. It was attached mainly with 3M tape and a few screws in the center supports. The supplied tape on these splitters always fail and you can read about a lot of issues with them on here and also about a lot of remedies for making them work. Mine has spent the last year and a half in the basement, is painted RJT, and for $25 anyone can have it. Probably the best thing to do would be to sand it down and spray it with bed liner. Then it would be impervious to stone chips.
Hope this helps.
