good morning everyone! so i been driving my car for a week now. i had to fill up twice already lol. im thinking my car is mis-firing or something. dont understand why its burning up so much gas. i took it to park city and back on saturday and i only had 1/4 tank left. im not sure if its just the break in period or is my car mis-firing. i have about 550 miles on my car since 11/14/2009..

P.s. im punching the gas that hard. i only take it to 3,000 rpm than shifting...

I think I would ask Thebrainheart but I feel it's the break in period. I have 1100 on mine just noticed it is getting a better mileage now since when I first got it.

I also noticed it seems to be louder sounding I like that lol..

I would guess it is just the break in period.....
You have a 19 gal tank (?) and at 550 with two fill ups, I estimate your getting aound 15 mpg. What was the V8 rated? Did you check your average on the driver info center?
My V6 is rated 18 mpg city and I am averaging 19 and highway is rated 29 and I am getting just over 30. The grade going to Park City is steep and could suck some fuel there. Run it out to Wendover and back and see how it does.
If you aren't getting close to what it is rated then I would have the dealer check it out. Good luck!!

For the first time in a long long time we're going out of town for Thanksgiving. Gonna drive down to St. George to have Thanksgiving with some relatives. I have two more crazy exams tomorrow before I leave so I gotta go study. Ugh.

good morning everyone! scheslc4 no i filled up and my tank was full at 15 gal. i thought we had a 19 gal tank? eh who knows im going to take my baby into the dealer this week or so to have it looked at. im sitting at 800 miles now :( cant stop driving it... lol

We feel for you I too find every excuse to drive my car. Today is an ideal day but I didn't take her out. Im hoping its nice while Im off so I can go for a cruise. I am not the Black friday type shopper as I hate fighting my way in stores and standing in lines Yuck. I hear Saturday is going to snow Bla bla lol..

I will get my stripes on after the holiday can't wait to see them.

Nope. Gonna have 4 passengers plus driver. Probably drinks and eats while we drive, so NOT in Lightning. She'll sit nice and clean in my garage. Wish I could take her though. We coming back on Saturday. Hoping not to run into any adverse weather. If we do we'll be in my wife's front wheel drive Buick with Michelin X-Ice tires. Does really well in snow and ice.
