It's going to be fun if my car doesn't explode. Pushing this LLT way beyond the limits.

I'm at the limits of the Vortech V3 SCi slso, it starts really heating up near redline with this pulley.

I wonder how long it will take the transmission fluid to warm up to operating temp on cold days without going through the radiator and just the thermostat. Think that will be an issue for me? I know you don't do cold starts because of your supercharger but I'll definitely be driving on below freezing days.

Probably a lot faster warming up since it won't be getting cooled down by anything. Will see next weekend, getting all my parts by Wednesday.

Also pulled the drain plug on the transmission, had a stream of fluid coming out, not a big stream but it was something. Going to drop the pan soon to see if there is metal in it. Complete underside of the car is covered in transmission fluid, headers are nice and shiny from it.

Observed my 5.0's trans temps this morning when it was 45 degrees out and it never went over 150. That might be the reason the Mustang's have a lot bigger fittings, to deal with the extra pressure and volume when cold since they have a stand-alone cooler between the condenser and radiator. So bypassing the stock radiator and going with the stand-alone system with upgraded lines and a thermostat seems to be the best way.

Got the driver side motor mount installed, have to remove the headers to do it though so it's a huge pain. The stock bushings on these cars are huge, so much rubber for NVH.

The car has been running great with the throttle body, tip-in response is very high. Getting the throttle airflow tables correct was the key, but it does require tuning and is probably a final mod type deal to tie everything together. I kind of want to keep the throttle body so I can cut and splice the throttle wiring, having 2 adapters annoys me.

Got my Jegs stuff which has the hose and fittings, tomorrow I get the thermostat. Want to get the car back to running on Friday.

Got the thermostat yesterday and it is a nice unit. Got the hardline AN adapters installed and wish I went with the 1/2" line instead of 3/8". Right before the stock rubber hose it does that step down, expand it out to 1/2" and -8 AN might make for better flow.

To do the hardline install though I had to remove the trans line from the transmission itself so I could get room, there was fresh fluid coming out of those lines so the transmission didn't not get ran dry.

Got the motor mounts fully installed, didn't really lower the motor as much as I thought it would. Still haven't done the thermostat yet, I found a place to put it but will require the bumper to be removed to move the lines from the cooler. I also have to wait on 90 degrees hose fittings now, if I bend the lines to get them to the thermostat they would be very close to the belt by the alternator. Pretty sure that stainless steel braided lines would win in a fight against a rubber belt.

Did you lower the subframe or pull the motor to get access?

Put a block of wood under the oil pan and lifted it. You have to remove the engine brackets though so I had to remove my headers to get access to the bokts. Passenger side was easy, the driver side was harder with the starter right there.

Also had the intake manifold removed, was able to lift the engine further.

Got the new transmission lines all hooked up, a lot better setup this way. Over 5' of hose were removed going this route. Getting everything buttoned up then will fill the transmission with fluid and watch the smoke show.

Since you are doing "racecar" have you thought of removing the reinforcement and tieing the intercooler into that space to increase flow, just a thought- something like tihs as was fabbed on a 16 Camaro to be put in the reinforcements place
