I hope your rods survive!
Corn is a hell of a drug. You'll get pissed as soon as you fill up on 93 and lose power.

I have a forged on the way... BTW, Ryan and I talked about your ramp up of the pump. Great idea.. May want to make those with connectors for those of us who would like to upgrade when they are ready... Your kit worked out fantastic.... Thanks! -Don

Hate to here that -- its ONLY 6 hrs from little rock -- but, you'll add what, 3.5 hours to that from where you are?
We really beat on this today I think 5 straight back to back pulls and finally had to let it cool for a bit so I could put on the spark plug wire. After that, hit 681! Now, the Corn here in Little Rock is between 51% to 85%, however I only found it to be 60% to 65%. I also found out I'll need a oil cooler fan, -- the cooler is working too well, and the radiator now needs more airflow @ idle -- of course, this is after beating on it for a while so, will see what the biggest fan I can get for it. But, the results are just what I hoped for, and thankfully, Dave @ DSX gave all of us a great way to do Flex Fuel. Very excited -- can't believe how many changes I've made -- AND what I've learned from all of them -- more power = more heat = more cooling needed ;o) -Don

Yeah, it's about 8.5-9 hour drive from here. We have had the kids & grandkids here for 6 days (leaving today) and I need to be back at work tomorrow. If it wasn't for that I would be there.
I have been looking at the E-85 conversion since we don't have 93 available anywhere near here. Looks like you have a really nice kit and thanks for your detailed install! I know I won't need all the same stuff since I am not s/c.

Nice job Don, I had Dave's sensor for a while in my car mostly for experimenting purposes with my stock pump and BAP, and ID850's. Needless to say it didnt work. Lost fuel pressure and way over 100 IDC. I wasn't ready to upgrade injectors or fuel system yet. And the one station (90 minute drive round trip) doesn't carry it anymore. But I too wanted the sensor right next to the heat shield. I tried it under the blower lid and it works, but can't get the lid to stay on top afterwards. Mine is painted and looks good at car shows. So I wanted to keep it on Lol. The sensor kept pushing it off no matter how I routed things. I think Dave should toy with the idea of making it fit right on top of the line where it comes up by the heat shield. perfect location for it. I ended up selling my sensor. :( No more corn around me.....
See you at Fest!!!!!

Nothing from Little Rock to Memphis and Memphis to Jackson TN. In Texas nothing from DFW to Little Rock. I only had to add 7 gallons of 93 to get me to Little Rock so the mix was still 59%. I was lucky to find the stations and I have the addresses of all that I stopped at! Now with all my cooling updates, you'd think it was under control.. Nope, it hit 98° along the way and it looks like my Mishimoto oil cooler is, well doing its job, but heating the coolers behind it. Coolant ranged from 195° to 203°. May need to create an air box now. The faster I went, the cooler the temps so that is a sure sign air is not going through all the coolers. Highest IAT2 was 122*, mostly 116°-118° so those parallel coolers seem to be working... I'm hoping to find someplace in BG to change the coolant to a summer mix since I ran out of time before I left. We'll see. Can't wait to see everyone one! -Don

Something funny,, when I took my sensor off to sell it. There was no room for the disconnect tool between the sensor fitting and the line. So I went to the dealer and got a new fuel line (the flex part) and sold the sensor with my old line. Not sure if the style is the same today.

Yep, its the same -- I noticed the same thing -- thought 'How will I get that off If I need to?' - guess I'll be leaving mine on too ;o) Not a big deal for me, I can live with it. Glad my line is brand new!

Well, very lucky, found a corn station right acrossed from where I'm staying tonight! Speedway has 70% corn! Filled it up -- also, JusticePete said he can give me a 'track' coolant refill! VERY glad he's doing that -- can't wait to meet him in person...
So looking forward to this weekend! -Don

Its awesome. Great mod and you just 'pump' more horse power! Love that...
Basically, 40 rwhp just by pumping gas ;o)... -Don

NCM is awesome. My day, ugh...
Was up till 3:30 am doing track preparation, just the nature of the beast. Got to the track by 6:20 am and got my assigned garage. Did the clean out of the car, Setup, then ready to go! Went out twice enjoying every moment, until I came in the second time and noticed my cooling fans not working... Damn, tried different things, no joy. Thus the end of my day @ 11 am. Then the heavy rain hit the area and that pretty much cinched it. After I got back to the hotel, decided to check the low and high fan relays. Hum, seamed a bit loose, pushed all the fuses down, started the car up, waited for temps to rise, bam, fans started working... Probably happened when I was working on the e85 Pin and had the fuse lid open... Yep, just another day at the track ;o). Still, it was a blast as the car did not pop an axle, ran fine (except the elevated trans temps). Lots of power, had to stay out of the throttle, too much torque in the turns 'o) Even with this, enjoyed the heck out of it... So, what did I discover? Move the trans cooler away from oil cooler, add a manual cooling fan override switch, build air box. The summer coolant mix setup was fun, suffice to say @ 12 am, it would have been nice if I did that at home where I can jack up the car and not bending over a hot car in the parking lot... -Don
