It just takes persistance. I know some people have had different things had happen. I wont let up. If I get told by Elkins, they cant duplicate it, normal operations, ill take it to 10 different dealers. This is not normal operation. Someone fubbed hard here, and a call will be made to GM until something is done. Im diggin in for the long haul. I hope some of you are as well.
Cheers

We can get this done guys.. EVERYONE WRITE TO NHTSA..

Remember to mention this is a big safety issue. The erratic shifting behavior can cause a collision with adjacent vehicles.

GM has pulled the last straw with me. I dropped my car off at the dealer on monday after I showed the service manager what was going on with my transmission the previous monday. I was told to bring it by monday so they can start to work on it. They give me a call yesterday and tell me that the service manager test drove the car and says that the problem is wear on the synchronizers which is cause by my driving habits. The service supervisor said that the Area Service Manager told them not to work on my car. I am currently looking to get into a different car I am sorry guys this forum has helped me a lot its just to bad that GM couldnt do the same.

No driving habits could cause that kind of synchro damage so soon. They are full of shit.

crazy thing is this dealer put a whole new tranmission in for me less than 5000 miles ago. The service manager took it for a test drive and deemed it the drivers fault no inspection of the transmission or anything.

Yup. This is what my dealer said to me. Funny how they can consider synchros a wearable item now. Clow they sent a rep to inspect line and said the same dam thing. GM is not paying for the synchros to the dealers when they attempt a fix. Dealer eats the cost. It's a bunch of bs and GM trying to get out of the defect they have with the tranny. Mine is going back to a dealership today a different dealership

Yeah I have a second dealership lined up that told me to talk to the general manager of the dealership if he cant get any leeway with the service manager than give me a call and we will look at your car. Funny thing is i talked to the general manager and he is prasing this service manager saying how he has been here for 10+ years and he even used to race back in the days and what not like I care about his history I only care about getting my car fixed since all he cares about is getting his paycheck.

And GM customer service is even worse a lady gives me a call so I call her back she answers ask me what is going on, I explain to her the whole situation only for her to tell me that I need to be speaking to a different rep that doesnt answer his phone or return phone calls. Then GM (Government Motors) wonders why they went bankrupt this service that they provide alone will bring a company down.
