I neglected to mention the Eaton, JPSS Swaybars, and Hendrix bushings are the cats meow for the track! I notice a big difference in the way the car worked in the turns. The last time I took it out, the car would 'wander' left to right - where the posi-mod would 'grab' quite a bit. The sway bars setup the car nicely, exactly what I expected using JusticePete's recommendations -- very smooth and you could push the car and feel confident. I had no issues with the axles, and I for one am VERY greatful about that. The oil cooler, temps never went above 225° -- now, I'm not running 7/10 ths, but was happy about that. The trans temps, however did climb too high for me (248°) and I'm certain, the oil cooler doing its job is the reason since it is right in front of my trans cooler. Even with that big cooler, I'll need to move it around some. I'll be moving it 'lower' so it can get more of the 'bottom' air or possible moving it in front of the oil cooler -- I'll need to see....
All in all, happy with the updates. I'll be going in the fall hopefully to give it a whirl again... -Don

I am glad to see you got a chance to use all that power! Well... maybe better said... using some of the power in short straight line intervals between exits and entries!! I was hoping you would take a break from modding and go drive it!
I wired in a manual switch for the HX fans and another for Rad fans and I love it. I gotta gets me some of them there JPSS SwayBars! Are you still on factory Coilovers? (I am ) and debating changing them or not. Cheers!

1LE struts and shocks. I have the manual switch coming for the fans.
I found the Mishimoto Oil cooler taxes the cooling system alot. I may have to remove it for what I'm doing -- it cools the oil well, but, for an auto, supercharged setup, makes it harder for the other coolers. I have the fan booster to install and I'm working though some issues with the flex fuel sensor, but outside of those, not much else is gonna be done until the forged engine is completed! Considering I drove it a couple thousand miles and ran NCM, I'd say that is driving it ;o) I had to stay out of the throttle as the torque came on strong coming out of the turns, but, all in all, a blast! Need to bring your's next time! -Don

Good to hear!
I will stay with the factory coilovers for now.... I am trying not to change too much between test runs so I can have an idea on gains! Put those MTs on for a bit before the forged stroker so you can compare the POWER!!

Yep, after the flex fuel sensor is resolved. Then, I'll pop those on, set to 25 psi, and in this Texas heat, get them gummy ;o)

Me too! Would have liked that. I like to meet as many folks as possible, it's what fest is all about...
Yep, I got there before everyone and snatched mine! I'll probably be there for LSFest, but if not, I'll see when the next HPDE is. End of year this year is crazy busy... next year, more open! Love NCM... -Don

Well, a brief explanation of what happened to me on my way back.
The flex fuel kit worked perfectly. I was very pleased. I did an E85 fill-up @ Speedway in Jackson TN, and about 13 miles outside of Memphis, the Aeroforce was reading 0%. I could see the gauge moving from 60% to 0%. Very strange. Car was running ok, but I went ahead and pulled it over. Unplugged the connector on the sensor, verified everything was still connected, let the car cool. Started it back up, still 0%. Car was running fine, so I continued home. About 20 miles into Arkansas, the car suddenly started bucking (like a mechanical bull on 7). Luckily I was only 1 mile away from an exit, and pulled into a BP, taking it VERY easy. I was down to about 5/8th of a tank, so I filled up with 93. Let it sit for 15 minutes, and started running great. Proceeded home and just filled up with 93 all the way in. When I got home, decided to review everything. Checked the wire harness (added a single connector to remove the white wire). Check all with an ohm meter to make sure nothing was breaking contact. Nope, all good, went up to fill up with E85. Still read 0%. After that, I ordered a new sensor from Chevy (Dave from DSX offered to get one, but he was out of town, and I wanted to be certain I had a new sensor now). Got it today -- guess what, bad sensor! Now reads 53%! I did, however, go ahead and update the connector to the sensor with the one I ordered for the new sensor -- just to be certain, there were no issues: ![]() Sensors side by side (new one with caps): ![]() ![]() ![]() Connector update: ![]() ![]() ![]() Wire harness before (I removed the tape so I could see the wires and add the single connector weatherpack): ![]() Wire harness now: ![]() 3" longer to give me a bit more room. Note I added a weatherpack single connector for the white wire that goes to pin #40 -- to make it easier for me to remove the harness. I think this would be a good idea for anyone who may need to remove the harness in the future. Harness and new sensor installed: ![]() ![]() ![]() Working! ![]() YouTube after new sensor: Will be taking it for a drive and filling up on full E85! I went ahead and zip tied everything back and validated no leaking fuel @ the hardlines. I will say, getting the flexible hose that goes to the fuel rail off the sensor IS A PAIN, but, with help from my wife (keeping pulling pressure on the sensor), I was able to use a small flat head screw driver to push the spring clamps back - took about 10 minutes, but, I got it off. WOULD NOT want to be doing that on the side of the road ;o) -Don
