Just out of curiosity - has anyone reported NEGATIVE effects from this?

Can't help but notice the disclaimer on the initial post... never seen that on any others; just curious if there's a reason ...

Ject had a power loss problem. He got it ironed out and if I recall turned out to be unrelated.

The disclaimer is simply because it was very early and we just didn't want to be blamed should anytning happen. Which it hasn't.

I'm getting ready to do the fuse pull and I also have a question too .

But first let me make sure I got this down right :
So you take out fuses #5 then #20 and leave them out over night .
Then I get ready to put them back in the next morning and have a BLAST!

My question is when putting back the fuses does it matter in which order you put them back in , first #5 then #20 or #20 then #5 ?

Don't have to leave them out overnight. Half hour or so is plenty, and no matter what order.

I would talk to your tuner first. You can have the low fuel map removed via a tune, and would not have to deal with this at all. I have not tuned yet, so every once in a while I pull the fuses for about an hour and plug em back in for fun. It doesn't matter what order you pull them or put them back in.

After I plug them back in do I need to put some miles on the car or would it just take time for the ECM to adjust ?

You will notice the difference as soon as you start the car. It starts easier and idles much nicer. There is no delay to the fix. Unfortunately it does not last forever, even if you keep putting 93 octane in the car. That or the gas stations near me are not selling good gas.

I would leave them out a couple of hours. I have done PQ's 30 minute after getting a bad tank of gas and she still ran like shit.

I have a garage so overnight is easy for me, I just leave the hood up and the keys next to the fuses on the shelf so I don't forget and try to auto start her.

I've been reading through the posts and wanted to add two points. Please forgive me if they've been brought out in the previous 52 pages....

First: Like many of you have done, I called my dealer, actually both local ones, and inquired about the fuel they use. Neither use gas on-site and they always fill the Camaro with 93. While that is a relief, it doesn't answer the question regarding what fuel was initially used before it arrived at the dealership............

Second: Tony hit it on the head when he mentioned getting "bad" gas. Some stations don't simply don't pay premium price for their premium fuel. We all know where we like to get gas and the places we will push our cars past if we have to.....

So it appears to me that a fuze pull should become part of the regular maitnenance if for nothing more than GP. The alternative, Ted and Jannetty. Otherwise, find a reliable tuner and get'er done.

Keep in mind also that you have no idea how long that "supreme" has been sitting in a stations tank. As I understand it, most gas stations mix their gas through the pump to between low and high to get medium grade. With gas prices climbing a lot of people may be choosing the low grade and the high may sit for a longer time. I use only Chevron or Shell gas and also go to those stations that are the busiest with the highest turn over in their product. May help - may not - but I know "bad gas" burning in my rides affects them.
