Some people need to hang out more at the track and less on the internet reading about the track. The whole "you cant run the number unless you go to the magical track at the dead sea prepped with VHT from end to end with a 100mph tail wind" gets old. Some time at the track would eliminate 90% of the "fact police".

I would be called slow if I posted that time on a stock 5.0 on a mustang site. It never gets old

Off topic, but.....

I do believe that this Wednesday evening is the first of the bimonthly Willows Inn car cruise, Rt 68 in Industry Pa.

They do theirs every other Wednesday, and the bar on the other side of the river called Midway Bar and Grill does theirs on the opposite Wednesdays.

nah, they usually run about 12.4 stock. To hit 11.9, they usually need a tune and tires

On a typical summer Wednesday that this is going in, I leave the nuke plant at 4:30 and it's over half full of cars. I'm planning to drive my Bee to work and go straight there to meet up with my father who will be in the silver 03 Terminator Vert. He gets off at 4:30 from the verizon garage in Vanport, so I'll beat him there.

If I can't get the Camaro washed tomorrow night, I'll have to come home to Baden and get the car, stop and spray it and wipe it dry, then drive back to Industry.

Tomorrow night I have to put 4 ball joints on my sons Blazer, and do a welding project for my neighbor. It's going to be a night from hell.

What really pisses me off is that I purchased the Blazer from North Star and it was not inspected. They told me what it needed, inner and outer tie rods, idler arm, 4 tires, and brakes/rotors all around. It's an 04 4x4 4 door with 64,000 miles, and I got it for $3500. So, I did all of that and neglected to challenge the pre sale inspection... I took it to Pep Boys in Cranberry and got it aligned with no word about extremely bad ball joints. I then drive back to North Star for the free state inspection and it passes with no word about problems.... Now, 500 miles later I see the front ties cutting bad, and the front end wanders oddly at highway speed when it hits a bump. I jack it up by the lower arm and jam a pry bar in the upper and see about a quarter inch of lower movement! What the hell? Nobody saw this? All these supposed professional ASE mechanics can't observe this, but I can laying on my garage floor? Anyways, it reinforces why I do my own work and don't trust others with the skill if the craft that they should have.
