You don't have to be a card shark to do the Poker Run. It's much more about cruising than the cards. All you're doing is stopping at a specified location to pick up a card. At the end of the cruise, best hand wins. It's super easy and really is luck of the draw.

oh I do have a question for Greg. when do you think would be a good time to start heading to the appling fireworks thing? I am working tomorrow but I am hoping to get out early. I just want to make sure I'll be able to make it, or have a spot saved for me

It was fun and ends at MIR. They have prizes and the drag strip was open for a pretty small fee last year.

As Kris said, you go from business to business where you draw a card and they stamp your 'poker hand'. They have drawings based on the poker hands at MIR.

I got the worst poker hand and won four tickets to 'fun ford weekend', LOL.

I missed last years :-/ but all of you now know why. I wonder if they accept a Camry, lol. Anyone have a car they don't mind racing down the strip?

They had all kinds of cars last year, Eric. I even beat a Prius down the track...or was that a Yugo?

Heads up everyone. Due to the Bartlett fireworks display tomorrow (Thursday 7/3) it appears the Cruise in cancelled for this week. I could be wrong but appears that way.

Greg talked about having us show up for the fireworks/car display awhile back. I'm being lazy and reposting his info via pic. See attached picture.

Thanks Adam! If anyone happens to hear that the Bartlett Cruise-In is still happening or is planning to go, let me know. Sounds like it is questionable at this point. I'm not sure if we're going to make it out for the Bartlett Fireworks.

Alright guys and gal. Myself, Cooley and Ty from Bluff City Mustang have just got done planning a Camaro vs Mustang track day at Memphis International Raceway.

Details as of 7/1/14

Please note I will be updating this post since there are still some planning to the done and as always I am open to input.

The event will be held on August 29, 2014. We will start with a meet and greet with Bluff City Mustangs at the Millington car cruise around 6pm. For those that dont know Millington has a car cruise on friday similar to the one we usually attend in Bartlett. The location for this cruise is at 8067 U.S. 51 Millington, TN . The Millington cruise will go from 5pm to 8pm. After the meet and greet we will cruise to the track with BCM around 8pm for MIR's monthly event Midnight Madness. Once there those that want to race can do so and those that dont can support and watch. As of right now there are 10 mustangs from there club wanting to race. Also Ty from BCM is talking to MIR about promoting it as a Mustang vs Camaro night.

Please give me your feedback and let me know if you will be going. Also please specify if you will be racing our watching.
