So what was ported? Or is that part of the mystery? What fantastic sales copy.

Going by their previous posts, I’m guessing the entire blower and that’s it. Reports of 1.5-3 PSI being picked up from that.

A few shops and members here have been at it since the beginning. Showing us and teaching us what works , what doesn't and gains to be made.
They have built and tested dozens of cars / combos and have shown us the results.

None of them have said let me port this for you and you get +40hp. They would have been laughed off this site.

A good friend of mine had some Kong porting done on his LS9 ZR1 car (blower&snout) He picked up huge gains. I'd be interested to see what they charge.

Thanks for posting. I believe it. Kong has been playing with gm blowers a long time.

Kong consistently has the highest HP LSA, LS9 and LT4 builds. Their porting is the best in the business. It was independently tested by CSP to boot. What more do you want? I’m sure CSP will post a video on it soon.

Funny this pops up just as I was typing my build thread. I have also had my blower and snout ported by Kong Performance. I added a 103mm tb, 2" headers and a little meth. Tuned it myself and made 621hp SAE last night. I will post all info in my build thread.

The doubters will never believe it no matter the proof, always going to blame it on conditions, different dyno, different day, etc. but this is NOT Kong's first rodeo. Their porting makes power. Period. They build ZR1s with over 900 RWHP all the time, they're the only ones that I'm aware of to have blower only ZR1s making north of 1000 RWHP on blower. Their race port/polish is nuts.

I thought removing restriction by porting would lower boost, but gain hp due to better flowing blower.

Why are people still making the same mistakes that they did on the LSa BLOWER? Or doing things the hard way to make more power I should say..

Pulleys, Porting, TB, Heat exchangers, and meth kit all that money and time to turn the baby blower harder and combat high heat to what make close to 800 when they could of made 800 with a bigger blower and now room to grow?

I guess you just have to see it written down to believe how much you have thrown at the 1.7L to believe it..

Pulleys 700 for lower ( Damper and ring)
Belt 35.00
Harmonic bolt 12.00 unless you go arp
Griptec pulley upper 200 something
Porting 1200
Weapon X or Whom ever has the Exchangers 1200
103 TB kaytech 650
meth kit 850 to 1000
Labor 2000.00 - 2500 if not more

about 7500 not counting a tune or all the retunes..

new head unit 5500 to 6500... Labor (free).. if you can break the belt loose, drain and fill the antifreeze, take the intake and TB off, take the lid off then remove the blower bolts and take off old blower.. then do the reverse and drive slow to tuner.

this looks promising and this is the eforce wait for the Maggi!
