Checked with chief instructor. He's putting me in Black instead of White, with a trade up to Red depending on how Sat goes. Somehow I missed that there was a Black group. Lol.

Sorry for the prolonged radio silence. On fronts that have nothing to do with my wonderful car, 2016 is not going to be a banner year for me. Amongst other things, I need to find a new place to park the car. Regardless, it is wonderful when I can get away and blast down the track. Horsepower therapy.

Before the last run at VIR in March, we dropped about 100 pounds out of the car (aluminum crash guards, eliminating front and rear tow hooks and replacing them with nylon straps, removing passenger seat, etc). Next step is to get some lexan and CF installed before April 30 - CF doors and lexan side windows, specifically. Still waiting for trunk lid to arrive, probably not by 30th. Then, the big mod in May for fiberglass dash, lexan front/rear windows, drilling, and maybe some other drilling/gutting. I'm counting on JusticePete to be as creative as possible with the plasma cutter while still keeping me alive

Lately I am kind of pissed that I bought my nice $900 CF helmet maybe 18 months ago without an attachment for an air nozzle. I had some cool suit guys modify the helmet for a side feed for air (you can't retrofit into the top of a CF helmet) but the side feed jams the hose up against the new seat. I really should have bought one with a top nozzle. Ah well. Next time. Live and learn.

Pete

What a monster. Your car is definitely what my car wants to be when it grows up.

Damn, Peter. Sorry to hear that. Someone is going to get a hell of a deal on this track monster.
