Then it actually gets colder(around 38 or 39) but the car will be parked(at work) by then. By the time I get off work it will be in the 50's. So I will only have to DRIVE her 20 miles with the temp between 38 and 40. She stays in the garage at night and it doesnt get below 50 or so in there.Think Ill try it in the morning
I've heard mention in other threads about possible issues of sidewall cracks driving with these tires in too cold temps. Here in Houston I don't have to worry about lower temps very often, so it shouldn't be an issue. If we do have a cold spell, I'll just be driving my truck until it warms up, I suppose.

Well I drove my Z this morning. My HUD said it was 59 in the garage, after I was on the road for a few minutes it actually went down to 34,then back up to 37. Its only a 20 miles drive to work.It should be in the 50's when I get off this afternoon at 1pm..I wont be taking any long road trips in temps under 40 but since it stays in the garage that doesnt get below 50 or so,I will drive it to work as long as the temp doesnt get any colder than today

Drove mine to work last nite and when I was leaving it was 40 degrees. Tires drove hard until they warmed up. About 30 minutes into my ride I jumped onto the highway and wound her up a little bit, only 800 miles on her now, so I'm still taking it easy or as easy as I can, which is not easy. Anyway, I tacked her to 5,000 and shifted into third with a good amount of throttle, and behold, I was seriously chirping the tires going into third gear. Yeah Baby, tire spin at 70 plus mph! Can't wait to let it all out! This is one powerful menacing machine. But my favorite part of the ride of course has to be those u shaped on and off ramps. 75 into the exit, drop it into third and just feather the throttle. Gotta love that G meter. I've only had it at .75 and not even a chance of a tire chirp at that speed. I know it's not all that much on the G's, but I'm just starting to get the feel of things and I seem to gain more confidence every ride! We are definitely BONDING!
