Seat/harness setup for those 6' and taller

Looking at getting (at least) a drivers seat for me for upcoming HPDE events and a harness/bar.

I am looking at the OMP WRC-R seat mainly, or a factory recaro. Found both local for me to try out

What is everyone running to keep you in place, along with a harness? The factory cloth seat just ISNT doing it.

Also looked at the Schroth 4 point harness with ASM, which looks to work with a factory belt/mounting point setup, but the angles it puts the straps at dont look safe, based on everything I am reading.

Thanks for any input you can provide...and pictures!

Tracks usually require a 5 or 6 point to avoid submarine effect.

Let us know what you end up with!

Brey Krausse and 6 points. I don't see a reason to buy 4 points. You could just buy a lap belt and be held in place for far less dough.

I run the sabelt gt-200s... love the seats. With that carbon honeycomb brace I get zero flex in torsion.... all other seats I ever had made out of finerglass would rotate when my torso moved. i also like the upper shoulder openings since I am 6'1". I do run a HANS device as such want to go welded rolk hoop. I dont recoomend harness bar and harnesses without the hans.

I ended up grabbing the OMP seat and ordered a BK bar. Should hopefully go in here in the next week or so

We are doing the install this weekend.

I have a set of sliders. Not sure if I will be able to use them though with the height wearing a helmet.
We shall see. I will if I can!

Pics for sure!

Installed on Planted base

Have just enough headroom, and the door JUST touches the shoulder bolster when closed. Maybe brushes right up against it, not pressing.

Perfect!

Nice! You've been bitten by the HPDE bug like I have.

Fully installed and ready to rip

Not 100% happy with the Planted bracket as it moves a little. But I have an idea to fix that

You've had this setup for awhile now. Are you still happy with it? How much room do you have between your helmet and the headliner?

Thanks
Craig

I am very happy with it. Could stand to go a hair lower but can't really see how to do that without making some custom mounts.

I have about a finger or two before touching the headliner

Very comfortable even in daily driving.
