Unhappy CTS-V caliper upgrade on Forgeline wheels

Ran out of brakes at the track yesterday and am looking at upgrading to the CTS-V calipers up front. My forgelines are 20x10.5 up front and Dave made the offset at +30. Will the larger CTS-V calipers clear the wheel if my offset is +30? What does the offset need to be for the calipers to clear? I'm afraid that there will be clearance issues between the caliper and the wheel...

Thanks!

We just did one of these conversions i think you wont have a problem since the OEm 4 piston has a pretty decent profile. I think youll be ok. if you need a measurement from the hub to the face of the caliper i can take one off our CTSV this week for you.

Offset wouldn't be a problem, as long as the spokes clear the side of the caliper.

Offset doesn't affect clearance as long as the hub isn't milled to change it. Were the hubs milled?

that measurement would be excellent. THANKS!!

Forgeline mills the hubs... That's how Dave created the +30 offset for my GA3R's.

The clearance with the stock calipers up front with the spokes on the GA3R looks fairly tight and I'm afraid that the extra size might create rubbing on the back of the spokes.

what's the width difference b/t the stock SS brembo calipers and the CTS-V calipers? Does anyone have that measurement?

I've got maybe 1/4-1/3 inch of space between the caliper and spoke on my GA3R's...

the extra size is more in length than width. it will fit. you can always buy one caliper, test fit and if you had issues return it, they are not too expensive

Define ran out of brake. What pads and rotors are you using. How much cooling are you running?

Went out and got a few measurements the other day, they seem to be very close to the same size as the stock Brembo's, as far as height off rotor is concerned.

I was running a track that's heavy on brakes and tyres. The stock SS brakes weren't doing the trick so I'm upgrading to the CTS-V 6 pistons up front with DTC 30 pads (F) and HP plus in the rear...

The CTS-Vs are nothing short of AMAZING with Cobalt Friction XR1 compound front and XR2 compound rear. They are a dedicated track pad that squeal like a stuck pig but they perform. They aren't cheap, but I think they are the best.
