At the last 2 fests you could've made 80. That's the honest truth. There's no lines. You drive up and go.

No, I think at C5F3 I put down close to 20 runs on Friday alone.

DEFINITELY not out of the realm. This is more like a track rental w/ some heads up racing. We've had guys hot lap and get in 30 runs before.

Edit: looks like everyone beat me to it.

Not if your on street tires or DR's. If your on slicks or you want to stick your DR's then you have to wait for them to reprep the track. Which is only done at certain intervals.

I have a 4th gen auto drag car that is very consistent and would be awesome in the brackets, but that is not the point of Camaro5 Fest.
id love to make mine faster, and more competitive lol im kinda proud of my pile of junk, built it from the ground up with the help of maybe 3 people over the 2 years Ive had it. and 10k later its finally ready. I was just kinda suprized when I read the class designations today because It was my understanding that bracket was open to all generations. But I understand this is a 5th gen dominated event. So its all good.

I'm just saying that logistics for adding more classes is obviously a problem. I love other generation cars...1st and 2nd are my favorites of all...I think its great to see them in the car show part...but if we are picking nits on the racing classes, then I say we have to hit the easy button on it because it is a 5th gen Camaro gathering.

What would the schedule be as far as how many runs would I get to make?

Makes me feel a lot better, definitely get my moneys worth, I was scared it was one of those events where you have slicks and pay a good amount of money just to make 3 passes and be done. I don't think ill make 30 runs, lol maybe 10-15 over the course of the weekend, gotta love that cool down time. haha

Just to be clear, I'm not dogging on your car, I love all Camaros. I was just trying to make a point about what C5Fest is about. My first camaro was an 89 that I turned into a drag car, it's a good 2-3 seconds faster than my 5th gen.

agreed...plenty of time to get some passes in for sure. Bring whatever and don't worry about the classes...run all you want on Friday morning is what it looks like.

I like the way mlee said it, like a track rental with some heads up racing, sounds much better than going on a typical Friday night here at the track.

$20 bucks per person entry fee for a two day pass.

Yep, Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown TX is exactly the same way on Friday nights.
