I've seen a few around in Eagle River(outside Anchorage) the last month or so. I saw one in ibm cruising the Glenn Hwy. yesterday. I've also seen iom, black, and at a distance cgm. So there is at least a few others up here in Alaska.

There's also another 4 at the dealership in Anchorage, and one out in Wasilla.

How are the roads up there? Alot of good driving roads? I would imagine they had a good handle on fixing pot hole roads, but with the fierce winters you have to have a tough time driving on smooth black top in the summer.

There are a ton of roads that are really fun to drive, but the biggest problem is a lack of quality on so many of them. It's almost all asphalt, but so much of it is really cheap chipseal, that doesn't really get repaired in many places often enough. Any road that's travelled quite a bit has terrible ruts, though one of the worst roads (glenn(main) highway) is getting 11 miles repaved, which is really needed.
Some areas potholes can be pretty bad, and in the winter it's almost better because they're filled... lol!

Hey Alaska (Scott)... finally I get to see photos of your Camaro, looks good!

Very happy you got it. I love the Camaroscotty special gifts, my coworkers saw them and loved them.

I'm guessing in the future you'll do delivery a little different?

Enjoy man, I'm almost at 1500 so I can kick the tires and let it fly!

Thanks for the bump Scotty! There are a few Camaros here in Fairbanks, one of every color except IOM.

Pat, Cheryl loves driving the car! we have around 700 miles on it now, I will stay with the stock wheels until I find something I like later. I would really like a set of wheels that were on the LS7 car. I did put on the GMPP exhaust! it sounds much better now, waiting for a CAI then I will send out for a tune from the guy who did my Z06 tune.

Gotham, sounds like you have been enjoying the car The camaro Scotty gift is fricken AWESOME, I showed mine off at a car show and everyone liked. Delivery was a little crazy, but I would do it again........As soon as the Z28 comes out Scotty will be doing another Alaskan delivery

Scott,

Just ran across this post this evening. That's the same car I'm waiting for. Should be delivered in mid-September. I love that SIM with the stripes! Used to get up there to Fairbanks every summer for the Midnight Sun soccer tournament. Both my kids played. Now one is in college and the other a junior at KCHS. I bought my Chevelle there in Fairbanks in 2005 while we were there for soccer. Was a smoky, hot, sunny weekend. Drove it all the way back to Kenai burning a quart of oil an hour....that's another story.

Anyway, congratulations. We'll have twins. Have you seen any other SIM cars in your neck of the woods? I've seen a black one and one jewel red one in the Kenai-Soldotna area so far.

Later,
Brad
