1969 Camaro value

Hey guys. So, a friend of mine's relative passed away. They have a 1969 Camaro. 307, 3 spd auto, convertible. It has 78k miles on it. It was repainted in the 80s. In good condition. Can anyone help me with the value? One family member thinks it's worth 35k. Thanks for the help.

It will be hard to give a value without out a lot more info and a lot of pictures and an idea of how good "good conditon" is. That can mean completely different things to different people. But I don't think there's any way the car is going to be a $35K car. A 307, auto with a thirty something year paint job, I just don't see it. Need lots more info.

x2, you are probably looking at a $15-18k car. If it's 1-owner, numbers matching, and honestly in good condition you might get in the 20s.

For reference my 68 SS is insured for 32k

Thank you guys. I appreciate it. I didn't think it was anywhere near 30k either.

Too many people watching Barrett Jackson. Makes some people think their cars are worth twice what it really are. I wonder how the family member is coming up with that price.

They probably just go to a site like this: https://classiccars.com/listings/fin...evrolet/camaro

Think to themselves... well my car is decent ENOUGH so it has to be in the low range of what I'm finding here, and assume it's worth mid 30s.

Ive got a friend who recently bought a 1969 307 camaro from the original owner with a rough body for 13K. So for one with a straight body I would say 15-18K sounds about right. $35,000 is absolutely ridiculous for a 307 camaro!

Exactly..Barrett Jackson & Mecum auctions are fun to watch, but real world prices have been affected a lot by them with people that know little about cars.
If in great condition, this car is worth $15000 or less IMO.
