Warranty Question??

Alright at the moment I don't own a 5th Gen.

But finally got an Insurance company to settle from an accident I was in back in march. So I've got a rough date on when the check will clear my Attorney's Trust Account

Anyways onto my question.
I would really love to get a SS, but I'm in a dilemma.
The few that are in my price range have "Rebuilt" titles.

So would the powertrain warranty be Voided on these cars?

I would stay far away from a rebuilt title. I'd save my money for a good used Camaro when you get enough money to buy one. As far as the warranty issue on a rebuilt title i really don't know.

I've been looking at a few on Copart that have little to no damage.
Example, busted fascia, no bumper.
Graffiti all over
ETC. Nothing really too concerning damage wise.

And the Rebuilt title cars show no damage at all, and have "proof" of repairs done at a Chevrolet dealership, with the inspection paperwork.

So I was curious on it, because even if I buy new or used. I was still wanting to keep the powertrain warranty for as long as possible. Not too much out here with a 25k limit.. well nothing without 60k miles anyways. Or a new 2LS

So that's why I was curious, because either way. I'll drive the thing till the wheels fall off

I'd stay away from a rebuilt title car. Big hassle if you ever sell it. Go with a new LS if thats all your budget allows. Then you be guaranteed a full warranty.

You see a rebuilt or salvage title...run and hide. Some probably from flooding in Sandy by now.

most of the times a rebuilt title will have the warranty flagged..

Remember once a rebuilt, always a rebuilt.
Even if you have little or no problems down the road, have fun trying to ever resell it.
Life's too short imo.

What is your price range? You might be surprised at what some of us paid for our very lightly used 2SS's.
I would put the average at between 27k to 32k.
Let the original owner take the 10k hit and look for one with 5k miles on it, there are plenty of them out there.

Paul my price range is 20-25k

And I wouldn't plan on reselling it.
But Sycraft answered my question for me.

So I'll keep on window shopping till something pops up in that price range.
Hey patience is a virtue right?
