I met a New England car show celebrity on Saturday
My wife and I went to Ogunquit, Maine over the weekend. Since we did not make a reservation, we could not get into our favorite hotel the Medowmere. So we ended up staying at the Milestone hotel down the street on route 1. As we are carrying our bags up the outside stairs to our room, I glance across the street and catch site of a parking lot of old cars (pay dirt I think to myself),
My wife still does not get my car obsession even after 37 years of marriage. So I throw the suit cases on the bed and say let's go, you wanted to go to the beach, we can cut through that parking lot. So down the stairs and across the street we go my wife in tow. It was a show held by the Woodies in the Cove Car show.Gorgeous museum quality cars (for the most part) 1925 - 1949s with gleaming wood and concours restorations. Anyway I see this guy in a black shirt and pants wearing sun glasses that looks familiar to me. Can't quite place him though. As I am looking for free stuff at the table I see a free magazine called "Cruising New England". It dawned on me who the guy was, Paul Mennett who does the Cruising New England car show on NESN TV. I walked over and started talking to him about the show, what a nice guy. He pointed out a few of his favorite cars there and said that episode would not air until January (long production time). Good day after all. Anyone else ever meet any car show celebrities? |

Everytime Charlie shows up for a show you see a celebrity. Think we may need to get autographs.

He was at the ECCC Car show in Hudson. He filmed the show. Saw him at the Spindles car show too. He gets around a lot. Yes ECCC is having this car show this Sunday August 25th.

Here is a picture of the East Coast Camaro show in Hudson when Paul attended. It was their 30th anniversary for the ECCC. These pictures were taken 2 Years ago.
