Pure gas vs 10% ethanol

So, I saw a local station today that offers 100% 87 octane gas for .20 more than 87 octane with ethanol.
I filled up from 1/4 tank.
Is there any benefit in the LFX engine to running ethanol free fuel?
I know ethanol gas tends to gum up older engines

Only benefit may be slightly better gas mileage since ethanol's combustion energy is lower.

Older Small engines, outboard boat motors ect. benefit the most from non ethanol. New...not so much.

This. Ethanol actually burns cleaner, but but with a lot less energy. If the blend is E85, the difference in mileage can be substantial. Pure gasoline is almost 30% more powerful than E85. Ethanol is bad for your engine as well. If you put it in a vehicle that only gets used occasionally, it can cause catastrophic failures because of it's propensity to attract and absorb water.

Not going to explode, but Ethanol is bad stuff. Very Corrosive. Horrible for any engine that has a Carb

^^^THIS, I went thru some power valves in my Holley. Very bad on rubber gas lines also, they would get hard as a brick, better check the line at the gas tank and fuel pump. Horrible idea to take food and make a fuel supplement, IMO.

Of course this information doesn't apply to anybody from "Iowa, the Corn State."
