i should have known they were RTR wheels. i believe it is a dealer installed package, so i would have to order the wheels through the dealership.

i am extremely jealous of that exhaust note. do you think the owner is up for a trade?

This is the 'Chevy Camaro vs...' forum, which implies another car must be talked about to stay on topic. Since the Mustang was the biggest competitor to the Camaro for over 35 years I find it appropriate.

Or Motor Trend's GT that ran 12.8, while dynoing 377rwhp, being a ringer.

i doubt it since he has the first production 5.0L, Ford even invited him to test it on their proving grounds. he also had the car signed, by the Ford 5.0L engineer
and some other guys.

i dunno man, looks wise definetely camaro but speed wise i think they are equal, at least LS3 and the manual GT... the auto might be a slower poke but so is the L99 compared to the LS3

Slightly vague steering feel and weight. That's about it.

The drivers seat feels very different from the passenger seat. That being said, i've heard nothing but hate on the auto trans and that's a shame, but keep in mind the auto 5.0 competes with the L99 not the LS3.

It is a MUCH nicer sound then my stock LS3 (but with my borla exhaust I do prefer mine). I must say tho a mustang with that much power NEEDS the track pack, the little brakes and skinny tires just dont cut it. If your going to go big do it right and get the GT500's setup. I must say tho, in the automatic anyways, power and torque delivery was dissapointing. Maybe because it only had 500kms on it and wasnt fully broken in, but the LS3 would tear it a new one. Overall a very appealing car but if it was me it would definately need a standard transmission and the track pack.
Sounds like the automatic experience with the 5.0 was the same as mine with the V6. I don't understand it. Ford has these great new 6-speed autos (mechanically speaking), but the computer programmers don't seem to know what to do with them.

I agree. Right now it sounds like the automatics aren't tuned to expectations. It makes me wonder though if they have restricted them for break in. The GT500 is restricted in boost and TPS for I believe the first few hundred miles. Hopefully that's the case. If it's not, then it will just mean more business for SCT and Diablo. The old 5 speed benefited hugely from a tune to firm up the shifts.
