LOL. My first black car was my 2011 RS and OMG it looked so good after a wash but dayum... minutes later you could see the pollen settling on it! My new car is white and I drove it home in a rain storm and didn't feel the need to wash it for a week, lol. The other problem with the black that with the light primer underneath you see EVERY single chip in the sun light! I didn't have a problem with swirls because I know how to properly wash a vehicle but I don't think I'll ever go black again not to mention how hot it is in the summer.

I love the black Camaro I own but as everyone said, it's a magnet!

Once I give it a full Zaino treatment, I basically end up rinsing it down once a week and polishing it up with the Z6. I find I can do that in about 30 minutes, though I could cut it to 20 if I wasn't such a spaz about everything. But yeah, a day later it's dirty again. Bummer.

I had a Black C6Z and. Black CTS-V. Never again, I just can't do it between the heat and the impossible task of keeping it looking even decent.

I dust the car probably twice everyday, it still looks dusty right after that but obviously not as bad. I have to do it or she will look filthy in three days time, and by filthy I mean brown
Think keeping a black car clean is hard? Keep a daily driver black car clean. In the desert. You'll be on your way to the dealer for a trade in no time

He spent all his time with a duster, getting dust off it. The car was gorgeous. But it was too nice. He had to keep up the pedantic detail work in order to compete at shows, so he couldn't drive it. Anywhere. The paper tags on suspension parts would get damaged. Inspection marks would get dirty. Heaven forbid a bird flew near it. It was as close to the holy grail of '69 z/28s as I've ever seen and the man had screwed himself by accident with it- it was a second job and the car owned him.

I'll never forget his frowning, unhappy face as his car got filthy just by sitting in the summer sun- every speck of dust on the planet seemed to end up on his car. Cars can be too nice.
Amen, I would never own a car that I was afraid of it getting dirty, if you are scared of damaging your car all the time how can you ever enjoy owning it?

OH now that I have retired the black car has become my full time job. But don't really mind. Not a bit OCD when it comes to detailing just good old therapy. I keep telling myself.
