This looks great. Is the throw super long? By the looks of this picture, the shift knob rides much higher than the stock setup.

It is a short shift kit, with a different stick (higher) It sits higher than the standard stick you get with the kit but still comfortable to shift. The throw is much shorter (takes a few to get used to) Compared to factory shifter much tighter (seems like in neutral when in first) took some work to make the boot work in the factory opening, had to add a piece to the front of the boot to fill the void.

Hi. I employ a subtle retro theme with my car and as a result, I am extremely interested in doing this setup, except with the stock leather shift boot and the T-handle I currently run. Can you link me to the Hurst stick you're using?

I'd be interested in that kind of boot as well, if you could PM me your instructions, I'd appreciate it.

Looks great!

BTW- any of the Hurst upper sticks will physically fit on the aftermarket Hurst Shifter. From the picture, it looks like you're using our Hurst p/n- 1144580 for the boot: http://www.hurst-shifters.com/?wpsc-...-plate-1144580

That is the one, Had to do a little fabrication to the boot to fill the void, since the opening on the manual shift is a little more oblong than square. Just added a piece to the front lip of the boot. Now if Hurst had a rubber shift boot that was a fit I think you would get more sales. I am sure you would have to find a way to attach it to the factory center console once you remove the OEM bracket with the leather shift boot.

What if I got the kit, but have a V6 with a different shift pattern than the one on the knob that comes with the kit, any suggestions?

The Hurst billet short throw shifter is rated for both V6 and V8 2010 Camaro and up should all be the same and you can still buy other aftermarket shift knobs with the Hurst kit, as well as different sticks

The stock boot did not fit with the retro look I was looking for. Actually used it initially then after I really looked at it went for the Hurst boot and adapted it to fit the Camaro
